Had a delectable meal of lobster pie, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his lobster roll. Arrived late so we didn't see much of the view, but the AMAZING oyster sampler appetizer more than made up for the fact that it was dark outside. Great, friendly service, excellent food -- highly recommend!

This is a top rated restaurant and it really lives up to its name. We had 2 beautiful lobster with sides and cornbread. It was the sweetest lobster I have ever had. The waitress gave us tips on how best to go about eating them, which was very helpful. So the food, service and the view, all of this, I... More

The offer lobster rolls cold with mayo or warm with butter. ( lobster meat was a tiny bit chewy) Service was super friendly! The rest of the meal was good but it's pricey for the atmosphere of a family diner.

We were traveling through Gloucester and decided to stop here for lunch. Oh my gosh! It was wonderful! I had a crock of clam chowder that actually had clams in it - and was delicious! Then it was on to the cold lobster roll (they also have a hot roll) which came with french fries and cole slaw. The lobster... More

Went here for dinner the other night with my fiancé and it was fantastic! The service was great and the look and feel of the restaurant made you feel like you were on a boat yourself. My fiancé got the twin lobster special for $20.99 and it was out of this world! Highly recommend this place for dinner and lunch!

We visited for a late lunch in October. Excellent food especially the lobster! I was very impressed with their conscientious when preparing our meal knowing we had a severe food allergy. They went out of their way to ensure we had excellent food and could enjoy the meal without worry! Highly recommended

Being from the Midwest, we definitely wanted LOBSTER and the day we were there, they had a special....two 1 1/4 pound lobsters for a great price. And, the lobster did not disappoint us...it was sweeter than any other we had experienced on the trip. We also shared the lobster mac and cheese as an appetizer and that too was delicious.

Description
The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes and for the freshest North Atlantic seafood, prepared to perfection. Having been among the first to popularize fried calamari, our specialties range from award-winning clam chowder to homemade bread and cornbread, from Dottie's bourbon cake to Lily's wine list, and from Sambuca mussels to blackened haddock tacos to a fried fisherman's reuben sandwich. We always cook to order and have gluten free and vegetarian menus available, as well as children's meals. Dine full-service on our outdoor, dockside deck or eat lobsters in-the-rough on our harbor side wharf. Located on historic Seven Seas Wharf, there's something for everyone here: shop for souvenirs and local art at our General Store gift shop, enjoy a sail on the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon, or see the whales aboard Seven Seas Whale Watch. Whatever your fancy may be, the Linquata family invites you to join us year-round for a true taste of New England.
