Gloucester has been our family's favorite vacation spot for the past 15 years. We decided to try this restaurant for the first time this evening. Upon arrival at dinner time we assumed by the crowded parking lot that there would be a wait. When we were told there was only a 10 minute wait for our party of 4 adults... More

They advertised lobster carry out or eat out back for $5.99/lb (1 lb) plus $1.50 to boil. Larger ones were more. Two pound were advertised for $8.50/lb. However when I ordered, the waitress had to check with her boss to see if a two pound was available. When she did, I was told that the boss said $8.50 was to... More

Restaurant was a nice place. Reasonably priced for lunch. Food was prepared within a reasonable amount of time. Heavy seafood menu, but you are able to find a couple of "land lovers" menu items. We sat out on the covered patio. It was comfortable. A 2 person band started playing about 1/2 way through our lunch. It was a bit... More

The Gloucester house was recommended to us by other tourists who frequent the Gloucester area. The menu has a large variety of fish as well as meat offerings. I ordered the pan fried sole with lemon sauce with capers. It was light and delicious. The plate was served with three large pieces of sole. Two sides came with the order.... More

We enjoyed our dinner here, but it was a bit expensive.. The lobster pie was quite good, but the sizzling shrimp was just okay.

Great place to have dinner especially after had gone to a whale watching. It's one of the best restaurants in Gloucester. Everything is its place: the view, service and great food. The Chef is outstanding.

This is a long-time Gloucester restaurant. Get there early because sometimes there can be a wait, but they are very efficient. You can sit inside out on the water and its beautiful! The food is good and there are some interesting varieties to choose from, so experiment and you will get a pleasant surprise. Of course their seafood is great... More

Great service. Great food. Will go back. Recommend clam strips a little neck clams in a spicy broth. A real Gloucester staple. We will return.

The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes and for the freshest North Atlantic seafood, prepared to perfection. Having been among the first to popularize fried calamari, our specialties range from award-winning clam chowder to homemade bread and cornbread, from Dottie's bourbon cake to Lily's wine list, and from Sambuca mussels to blackened haddock tacos to a fried fisherman's reuben sandwich. We always cook to order and have gluten free and vegetarian menus available, as well as children's meals. Dine full-service on our outdoor, dockside deck or eat lobsters in-the-rough on our harbor side wharf. Located on historic Seven Seas Wharf, there's something for everyone here: shop for souvenirs and local art at our General Store gift shop, enjoy a sail on the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon, or see the whales aboard Seven Seas Whale Watch. Whatever your fancy may be, the Linquata family invites you to join us year-round for a true taste of New England.
