The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes and for the freshest North Atlantic seafood, prepared to perfection. Having been among the first to popularize fried calamari, our specialties range from award-winning clam chowder to homemade bread and cornbread, from Dottie's bourbon cake to Lily's wine list, and from Sambuca mussels to blackened haddock tacos to a fried fisherman's reuben sandwich. We always cook to order and have gluten free and vegetarian menus available, as well as children's meals. Dine full-service on our outdoor, dockside deck or eat lobsters in-the-rough on our harbor side wharf. Located on historic Seven Seas Wharf, there's something for everyone…

My husband's salad was decent, but I think you can do better
My husband and I visited Gloucester on April 12 = off season. The inside atmosphere is apropos with a fishing town theme. There are a few large replaceable ceiling tiles that should be exchanged due to water damage. I would have said the room was...More

Just stopped for a quick bowl of soup on a cold damp day! Excellent clam chowder! We will go back the next time we are in town and have a proper lunch or dinner. Cool place though! They only serve beer.

Hi there, Apologies for the delay. This is our first Trip Advisor inquiry. Have you, per chance, already spoken with a member of our function staff or are your questions still unanswered? Typically, the most efficient means to answering questions is via telephone. We can be reached at 978-283-1812. Dottie or Sandra can help you coordinate a small event for 20 people in August provided we have room availability. Yes, we have a gluten free menu. Regards, Lily
