Today I had lunch with a friend at Lobsta Land in Gloucester. The food there is always terrific but today we both tried a special, grilled sea scallops over a salad. It had artichoke hearts, capers and so much more. There were 8 large sea scallops...and we were each only able to eat half. If we had known we would have shared. This was $20 and worth every penny. Can't wait to finish it this evening. Yum!! Early this spring the restaurant was completely renovated and they had plenty of outdoor seating. They will be closing for the season this weekend and reopening mid April. If you're coming to Cape Ann this coming season, be sure to have Lobsta Land on your list of culinary stops. It won't disappoint!More
Both my wife and I loved our meals. My wife had her stand -by, baked haddock. I tried something new, haddock Rachel. Probably the best fish sandwich I have ever had. Will definitely go back when we are on the north shore.
We went to Lobsta Land for the first time this past Friday and then again on Saturday. I must say it is now one of our favorite restaurants in Gloucester!
The food was delicious and cooked to perfection and HUGE portion! My 10-yr-old son wanted...to try the fried clams(daily specials) for appetizer, it was so good and the portion was huge as an appetizer! I ordered the Lobsta Land Bouillabaisse, son ordered the Baked Shrimp and DH ordered The Causeway Burger. All were cooked to perfection!
The next night we went with my SIL. DH ordered the Oven-Roasted Turkey Club, it was made with REAL turkey meat, not lunchmeat turkey, very good he said! Both my son and SIL ordered Sauteed Chicken Piccata and I ordered the Sauteed Shrimp Provencal. Again we were very pleased with our food. We didn't have any dessert as we were so full from our meals and we had leftovers to enjoy.
We definitely enjoyed our meals there. We had an outside table on Saturday since we didn't make a reservation soon enough. There were heaters outside but we got a bit cold. The only complaint we have is the service was a bit slow and the food took a while to come out but we also understand that it's a Friday and Saturday night. Nonetheless, we would definitely go back again when we visit Gloucester in the future and we'd recommend it!More
Old uncle picked this out as a meet up place to avoid traffic downtown. He’s been visiting here for decades. We didn’t have high expectations, but we forgot one thing: Unc knows fish. The food was melt-in-your-mouth savory. We shared a raw tuna tower, fish...chowder, fish tacos, a haddock sandwich and a seafood platter. Every bite was better than the last. Even the Cole slaw was tasty. They take reservations, so make them, even for lunch. You’ll get a marsh-side table. Your waitress has been there forever. She remembers how they had hell to pay when they changed the menu. Doesn’t happen often. Thankfully.More
Super laid-back, all of the staff in cutoffs and flip-flops, so don’t worry about a dress code. Everyone with masks and practicing distancing.
It was immediately obvious that lots of locals eat here, so it’s the go-to place.
We phoned in an order and it...was ready on time. Pickup was super-easy and we were out the door quickly.
Chow was fantastic, exactly what we ordered and wanted, with extra sauces and such provided.
Wish we could have made an in-person visit, but just didn’t have the time while in town. Definitely will return here and have a sit-down meal.More
Pretty good food and attentive staff. It’s definitely not the best lobster roll I’ve ever had but still yummy.More

Food was very fresh and excellent. We had the steamed lobster and baked scallops with pilaf rice and asparagus as side dishes. Price was reasonable considering the quality and freshness of the food. Service was charming and efficient.
