Fantastic food ; we all enjoyed it very much. Started with Clam Chowder & Steamed Mussels for appetizer, and then we all had various fish on the menu from Mahi-Mahi to the Lobster special. You have to be prepared to wait atleast an hour for a table, unless you get there before 5:30pm, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. No reservations so first come first serve. One are of improvement to move this establishment to a 5 rating would be the service. The wait staff was terrific, but every visit we have here we feel very rushed. I am convinced the staff is trained to move you in and out as fast as possible. So be ready to place a drink order and your appetizer-meal as soon as you sit down. We obviously pushed back and asked for more time.

This is my second time coming back here and it was even better than the first. We all ordered the Cod special and it was cooked perfect laying on a bed of spinach with potatoes and olives and a little chorizo. Will come back again and again.

From the looks of this place I was anticipating a great experience. Nice staff, but was not checked on during dinner, and i was in mood for dessert but was brought my bill after dinner and not offered anything, and my wife usually likes a cup of coffee after dinner. The onion rings, which were enough to feed 6 people had way to much batter for such a thin onion slice. The baked scallops were good as well as the fried clams. Just disappointed in level of service for what appears to be a fine restaurant. Service keeps me from returning to places as there are so many options on where i spend my money.

Went here for dinner and did not like it at all. Spend over $60 pp on food alone and the meal lasted 40 mins ... service was subpar and they didn’t show that they cared when we literally didn’t eat the food and complained. Manager “Scott” told us in so many words too bad. It’s okay, we just won’t go back. I’d recommend skipping this spot and finding another place as Falmouth has much better offerings.

We have been going to this restaurant since 1980 when we went there on our honeymoon trip. We have been back numerous times, including twice in September 2020. This time we went for a Mother’s Day dinner about 6:30 pm. It was not crowded and our waiter remarked that the rush is always earlier in the day because people are leaving the Cape to get home. We were seated upstairs, even though I was using a cane and that is a steep staircase. We sat at a tiny bare table. It was very cold up there, ambience was like we were in a deserted ballroom during clean up after a wedding. There were only 2 other tables occupied. Our waiter did the bare minimum, not the usual friendly attentive service. The dinners -a sirloin steak special and fried shrimp were OK but at $39 for a steak that was tough, not a good value. $92 tab for 2 wines and our entrees. It was just really unpleasant and not at all like the place we love to return to.

Extremely rude host. I was in Falmouth with my husband and our infant child so I called ahead of time to ask if outdoor seating was available since my baby is not vaccinated against Covid. The host didn’t even let me complete my sentence, said, “come on in” and hung up. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and still showed up. At the restaurant, I believe it was the same host who was twice as curt, again, did not even let me finish my sentence and was extremely dismissive, “It is going to be a 40 minute wait” I would have waited 40 minutes happily had I been told about this on the phone (which was the entire point of calling ahead!) After such a rude and dismissive first interaction with whom I presume is a senior member of the restaurant staff, there is no way I was going to eat there with my family. I had heard great things about this restaurant but I was extremely disappointed. They really do need to educate their staff about pleasant customer interactions & the importance of good social skills. There are some amazing restaurants in Falmouth where the food is great and the staff go above and beyond especially if you are there with your children or older members of your family … The flying bridge is definitely not one such place, skip it on your next trip to Falmouth.

The only positive thing is the nice view. To say the service was surly, would be an understatement, very average food, overpriced & incredibly rushed. I've never seen food come out of a kitchen so fast which was then literally thrown at us. We had barely started our appetizers when the entrees were tossed at us. As for the cocktail, it was an absolute disgrace. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes which are 40 minutes of my life I'll never get back, on the other hand, the awful experience was mercilessly short.

We come here for lunch every year on our way to the Martha's Vineyard ferry. The food is generally quite good (as was my wife's lobster roll this year), and the seating right next to the harbor makes us feel that our vacation has already begun. Their signature dish is an enormous mountain of terrific onion rings. This year, however, I have a complaint. I felt like a burger and I asked the server if I the kitchen would reliably produce it medium rare. He assured me it would. That was a lie. They couldn't because they weren't putting out a patty of ground beef. What they put out was a patty of a kind of mushy meat loaf. If you like a burger with a meaty texture and a beefy flavor, don't order this one.

Tried to place a take-out order by phone. Person who answered the phone transferred me to the bar, but no one at the bar ever picked up. Hung up and called back a second time. Told the person who answered what had happened and was told the bartender was busy and I should just wait until she picked up. So again I waited and waited and waited. Finally hung up again and drove there to place our take-out order. Had to wait inside while it was prepared, which I was hoping not to do. I had a lobster roll that was average at best. Lobster meat was good. But the roll was just a somewhat stale hotdog roll that wasn't toasted or buttered.

The Flying Bridge is amazing in the summer because of the view , but tonight we were reminded how amazing the food and service is! The Arugula salad was loaded with crisp apples, cranberries, pecans , and curled cucumber, endive and a light sweet vinaigrette was delicious. The Bang Bang shrimp appetizer was fabulous. The steaks tips and truffles fries were perfect and the Native Baked Cod with spinach and mashed potatoes garnished with fresh flowers was delightful and beautifully presented . Angie our waitress was warm and attentive. The tables are very well spaced and Covid precautions very comforting. Nice oasis.

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner here at the flying bridge restaurant. The grilled swordfish was fresh and tasty and calamari was tender and fresh. The cape cod mud pie is a must for dessert. The service was excellent and courteous. We went back again two nights later and were happy we did. Excellent location and harbor views

Terrific seafood restaurant. We were seated outside approximately 25 yards from gorgeous yachts. Service was great, the food sublime. May have been the best calamari that I have ever eaten. So well prepared that I didn’t have to use any marinara sauce. Tuna tartare was awesome. I had broiled swordfish as my entre. It was perfect and came with delicious spinach, mushrooms and home fried potatoes. My son had a mixed seafood casserole. He gave it a 10. My daughter in law had a lobster roll that was so large and delicious that she shared it with my grandson. My grandson, who is quite a food connasuer, loved the tuna steak which he ordered. Did I mention that I had one of the finest Bloody Marys that I have ever had. Their dessert menu was outstanding but we were so full that we had to pass. If it were up to me, I would have either lunch or dinner everyday that I was on the Cape for vacation.

Hostess notified us as soon as we walked in that unfortunately they were out of a lot of seafood and when I asked if they had lobster, they claimed they haven’t had lobster in 4 weeks except for lobster rolls. We decided to stay and were led to probably the worst tiny table in the restaurant. As soon as we sat down we decided to leave as we we’re looking for a nice lobster dinner at a nice waterfront restaurant and went to the Landfall in Woods Hole instead, which was everything we were looking for and more. Don’t understand why a restaurant like that can’t get lobster when they’re selling them down the road at Stop and Shop

I was so disappointed with this restaurant! The front desk, wait staff and food were terrible. First off I stood at the hostess stand for at least five minutes before they acknowledged me (they stood there wiping off menus). We then waited for 45 minutes for a table. I ordered oysters and they had grit in them. I also ordered tuna but sent it back. When I received my order of mussels half of them were unopened. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said that it happens and wanted to charge me full price for the meal. On top of that a private party was going on upstairs and people were smoking. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

We had a reservation for 7 people. We received our text informing us our table was ready @ 6:24pm, we had to wait to check in as there were several people ahead of us, so we checked in @ 6:35...we were then informed they gave our table away...the front hostess was completely rude, condescending and completely unhelpful. We asked to speak to the manager, who was also rude and was visibly annoyed with us. He only offered to split our group into two tables that were across the room from one another. The attitude of the entire staff was unprofessional and uncourteous. Unfortunately we will not be back.
