This was suggested by our hotel as the number one place to eat in Falmouth and it exceeded expectations. People might pass this place by because of the older exterior, but it is well worth seeking out. Superior, tasty and large portioned food and excellent, attentive service from the bartender. By far the best fish (swordfish in anchovy butter) I've... More

You feel like you are on a boat in this authentic seaside restaurant. Despite recent renovations that changed the character of this casual restaurant, most of it's charm remains. Locals eat here as do scientists and staff from the nearby oceanographic institute. Food is good (a step or two above pub food), prices low, and the atmosphere fun.

Very good food, served up by friendly staff. This restaurant is obviously popular with queuing from 5:30pm onwards quite likely. The food was very good quality and of average price for Falmouth. you could easily eat here over several nights!

The interior was created to make you feel like you're below deck on a ship and some of the wood dates back to the 1600's. Our table was a stained glass window that was taken from a church that was destroyed in Maine. The potpie was very good, even though the gravy was much thinner than I've had before. The... More

We stopped in for lunch after cycling the Shining Sea bike path. To look at, this place is very basic. However, the oysters tasted like they were literally brought out of the ocean minutes before being shucked. The lobster roll was so fresh and succulent. Even the roll was excellent. Baked fresh and toasted.

it was worth the wait, which although was said to be 40 mins turned out to be 10mins..patience a virtue..good service..efficicient servers..lovely craft beers and cocktail..great menu choices and not the usual USA mega portions..quality before quantity.Try the fish pie with puff pastry crust or the salmon..recommend the blueberry pie and 2 spoons for pud!.Justified its high rating

We were seated fast and had a lovely waitress welcoming us to our first visit to the Cape. Easy parking in rear. Very fair prices, could not believe how cheap a lobster dinner for two with wine costed compared to ny. Lively bar atmosphere with live musician on a Friday night.

Very quaint & obviously a steady stream of locals patronize this restaurant. Bar was full by 12:30 w bets being made on upcoming football games. We had lunch special of eggs Benedict with asparagus & lobster as well as chicken regitoni. Fellow Rv couple said dinner was hard to get into. Not much seating so suggest you go early. Lots... More
