Besides the friendly atmosphere of the town, this bakery is the reason we visit Falmouth! There has not been one item that we have not enjoyed. You know when you see people carrying out large grocery bags of goodies, you know the goods are excellent....Yes, you have to wait in line some mornings, but it is so worth it!!!More

Best Bakery. If you are European or appreciate the fine things in life, you should go here. It always amazes me that Americans go there and expect to find brownies and chocolate chip cookies. Like really ? You have croissants and brioches in front of...you, it is a French bakery and pastry shop, there will no mayo on your baguette. Be prepared to wait in line, but it is very much worth the wait. We had two baguettes (Le Parisien), one ham & cheese croissant, one plain croissant, a couple of fruit tarts, a blueberry and a raspberry croissant (not sure of name), and one fromage baguette. Delicious.More

Simply the best . All the breads and patisseries are excellent and always very consistent. I have been purchasing breads and patisseries at Maison Villatte since they have been opened and have always been extremely satisfied. The place ( front and back of the house...is spotless) All the employees wears very nice and cleaned uniforms and follow hygiene and sanitation rules to the highest standard . The employees are always smiling and happy to help you. They are using the best ingredients to produce the best product . The packaging and presentation of their product is the best. Their coffee bar and European imported products are of the highest quality.More

We started our day here with breakfast. The choices are endless! This french pastry shop has so much to choose from. They have sweet treats, fresh breads, croissants and premade sandwiches. We ordered cafe au laits and chocolate croissants to carry to the park and...enjoy.More

This is THE best place EVER EVER EVER for pastries, sandwiches, and more. Whereas lots of places in the Boston area sell things that **look** pretty, everything here ACTUALLY is **amazing** - not just in appearance but in texture and flavor as well. I studied...for a year in France and this is, frankly, BETTER than any bakery I found there (granted it was 20 years ago and I was living in Rennes which is known for crêpes, not pastries). When we have a free day I happily drive 90 minutes to Falmouth just to get sandwiches and pastries from here - we pretend it's a "day trip to Cape Cod" but it's all about this place; we do a few shops and we don't even hit the beach!! I have no idea how whoever the owner/master can possibly have THE best EVERYTHING from sandwiches to croissants to brioche, and bring it EVERY day. I feel like running this place for even ONE day would be a superhuman feat. My absolute favorites here would be: The sandwiches (always loved the Parisien but just tried the Niçoise and it's AMAZING), the broiche puff with chocolate, the apricot croissant (living in France taught me to prefer apricot jam/pastries over other flavors) ... but truly you cannot go wrong - if it LOOKS up your alley it IS, and you'll be able to TASTE the flavors and textures rather than just having an overly-sweet thing that looked pretty but ultimately disappointed you. Even the drinks here are superb - those little pink strawberry-lemonades by Natlie's they sell are worth the steep price as a splurge, with bits of fresh strawberry throughout. One thing that I did notice is that they sell chocolate chip cookies here, now, these are actually not French. My host parents requested I make them and called them "les cookies Americains" and they were nowhere in France that I ever saw. HOWEVER this to me shows that the owner/master has a TRUE love for food with excellent taste because let's face it, those are one thing we did right 😂. And of course, the ones here are 👌. I love love love love LOVE this place so much. My only wish is they could somehow open a location closer to me in Belmont but it's probably better for my waistline this way!!More

I read about this gem a couple weeks before our trip and everything I read was true. Lines out the door for good reason. The honey jasmine iced mocha was the single greatest coffee I’ve ever had and my girlfriend agrees. We went back early...the next day and couldn’t wait in the huge line, which I would have happily waited in, due to a scheduled ferry to Nantucket. We cut the trip short so we could make it back before closing as the next day was Memorial Day and they were closed. When I got there 15 min before closing they were sold out of everything! I managed to scoop up a few unbelievable desserts and had another coffee. I would book another trip to Falmouth for this place.More

One patron was actually chattering away in French. Don't know if anyone answered. Large variety of lovely loaves, all look delicious. Lots of sourdough recipes, drinks, quiches, tarts, pastries, cookies, All large enough to share, really. I bought a quiche, latte and cranberry raison loaf....A tiny rose was tucked into my whipped cream. Awww!More

This French bakery is the real deal. When you walk in, you might mistake it for France, not Falmouth. The aroma is amazing. The food is amazing. The coffee is amazing. I mean there’s a line out the door when it opens!!! Had to make...another stop before leaving Falmouth to bring home some bread, pastries, and sandwiches to share with my family. The only reason for my 4/5 rating is because of the service. I’ve been there a number of times on my trip and the employees can be rather short with the customers. Although, the pastry chef is nothing but kind.More
