Out for dinner with a party of 6 (3 couples). Put our name on an online waitlist for outside dining which went smoothly. They sent a text telling us our table was ready. While we were seated outside the wait staff was very attentive even though there was a line to get in (not rushed at all). Quickly brought us chips, salsa, and drinks. The menu was accessible via a QR code or they could bring you a hard copy. While we were ready to order the weather took a turn for the worse and it started pouring (a 20 minute tropical storm). The wait staff made accommodations for us to safely come in the restaurant (with masks on) to wait out the storm. They set up another table for us outside under a fixed awning and we went back out and enjoyed the rest of the evening. The food and drinks were enjoyed by all. I can't say enough about the staff... they were all amazing and seemed to really care for all the patrons. Shout out to Natalie (our waitress)!!! She made the evening seamless even with a brief monsoon. We'll be back!

Anejo is always busy but they are spot on its timing and letting you know about the wait etc... They even have a tracker so you can follow how long before you are seated based upon the people in front you which you can monitor as you walk and shop. Very good service and very good American Mexican food. The chips and salsa which are plentiful and addictive. All our dishes were excellent and despite the restrictions they can accomodate a lot of people between inside and outside. Great family place as well.

During the season there’s always a wait so we hadn’t had a chance to eat here before. Today was our lucky day! There’s an extensive menu of delicious sounding options—so many options we had to ask server for suggestions and she didn’t steer us wrong. We enjoyed a fabulous side of Brussels sprouts—as good as we’ve had anywhere—a taco salad with steak (delicious and huge), a shrimp and avocado salad with a heavenly good tropical coconut and lime dressing, and shredded chicken tacos. Excellent service. Very clean restrooms (always important!)

For context, I am well travelled, in my mid fifties, and a frequent visitor of restaurants all over the world. I also had four very pleasant restaurant experiences in Falmouth prior to my visit to this calamity of a restaurant. Actually, I never entered the restaurant on the night in question (26 June 2021) because of the rudeness, arrogance, unprofessionalism and blatant disregard of the very basics of customer service on the part of the man at the door. The booking system itself is the least customer friendly I have encountered. Put simply, you have to go to the restaurant, be told you have a 90 minute wait, give your phone number, and wait for text to be summoned. This in itself should not be terrible, but in our case our group of four received the text message, left the very comfortable place we were in, and reported immediately to the restaurant as instructed. We were directed to a bench on the street (not part of the restaurant) where we waited for 45 minutes. The four employees at the front of the restaurant spent their time giggling, talking to friends, and telling others interested in a meal that they have to wait 90 minutes. No efforts were made to keep us informed, apologize for the wait, etc. While waiting I went to the bathroom where the floor was covered in paper towels. The restaurant floor itself was littered with spilled food and other debris. Before attempting to pack the restaurant it is best to make sure you have the cleaning capabilities to cope. After 45 minutes we were offered a table in an alley way that I declined. Ten minutes later we were offered a table inside (55 minutes wait total). Before entering, I expressed my concerns about the system to the man managing those waiting. His response was unbelievable, rude, arrogant and unsuitable from anyone in a service industry. He said, this is our system and if you don't like it you can go elsewhere and we can fill your table with others waiting. Needless to say we left and found a much better place where the customer comes first. Bottom line - if you are looking for a pleasant high quality restaurant experience in Falmouth, avoid this place at all costs. There are many better options where you can actually reserve a table and be treated like a customer rather than just one of many nameless idiots waiting to get in. The system is designed to maximize profits and ensure tables are always filled while the comfort of customers is never a consideration. I can just about live with this but I could not tolerate the rudeness of the man at the door. All he had to say was "I am sorry for the wait, this is a busy night" and we would have been satisfied. Instead, he was incredibly rude for several minutes. In my review, I will be commenting on food quality, service, etc as we had lunch at Anejos a few days before. Nothing special, adequate service but a thankful absence of discourtesy.

They have a ridiculous wait list system versus reservations which is frankly annoying but the host does manage it very efficiently. The place gets very busy but they have a bunch of maskless school children who clear down tables quickly. Place does get mucky quickly as the approach seems to be throw everything onto the floor. They did sweep it on my request. The food however was very good, large drink selection and the bar kept up with the endless cocktails being ordered. Hence the rating. Table servers are experienced, friendly and efficient.

Off season on a Saturday night, 7pm we decided to go to dinner. We walk in, the place is extremely busy, standing room only. We were told 45 minutes to and hour for seats. We went across the street to another local business and shopped for about 30 minutes when we got a call for our table. We ordered drinks and food, and we were served quickly and the food was very very good. Next time in Falmouth, we will be going back. Staff was nice and seemed very efficient at their jobs. Really good experience. They did a great job, top to bottom.

We were in the center of town on a rainy Tuesday for lunch and I had and amazing taco salad and added chicken, couldn’t get enough of it , delicious. My husband on the other hand hated his meal, he ordered Tostadas which was described as 2 crispy fried corn tortillas with refried beans pico de gallo guacamole lettuce cotija cheese fresh squeezed lime piccante cream, he added shrimp ,now, it was more like a guacamole salad, there was 1 soggy fried corn tortillas, he loves re fried beans and couldn’t find it, but when he did, it was a smear on the bottom under his lettuce, and as for the shrimp, it was like little round balls of shrimp, we totally can not recommend this meal. As far as ambiance inside and out, very nice and the cleanest bathrooms anywhere, thumbs up. Also our server was very attentive and friendly.

No family vote necessary—everyone stated it was the best Mexican they have ever had - especially the Fish Tacos. The Taco Salad was so fresh and served in a Taco Bowl. Could not finish. The coconut margarita would be another reason to return. The restaurant opens at 11:30 am and there was a line on the sidewalk waiting for it to open. Friendly and attentive staff.

We were able to sit on the patio on a nice day, and that was great. Our server was outstanding, and she was very attentive to my allergy issues (that posed problems as lemon and lime are used in many of their dishes and drinks). The jalapeno pineapple margarita (without lime) was delicious and refreshing on a warm day. The chips and salsa were tasty with a moderate amount of spiciness. We both had a variety of tacos (chicken, pork and beef), and they were all made with fresh ingredients and tasty combos. We would definitely go again.

Staff was extremely helpful and patient in answering my questions about the menu. Suggestions that were made by our server did not disappoint..the best ~ nachos, blackened salmon tacos, poblano mole enchiladas w/braised beef, coconut flan and modelo beer. Food was outstanding, presentation was perfect, and the flavors in the food were delicious. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu. Best flan ever! Thank you Añejo Mexican Bistro - Falmouth, for a great meal.

Great location and food. We did not have a reservation or call ahead as we hadn’t planned on eating dinner out. We stumbled upon this restaurant and fell in love with the location and outdoor seating. The hostess was wonderful , she got us a table for 4 outside within minutes of arriving ( it was on the earlier side 4:30pm ish) and the place was busy. The margaritas were fantastic as well as the food - you can’t go wrong anything . The only issue ( and not the restaurants fault) was that I have a picky eater in the family and there was nothing “ plain” for him to eat on either the kids menu or regular menu . He ended up with a basket of chips for dinner . We loved it so much that we are planning on going again soon with friends .

This place needs a new owner, lower priced “authentic Mexican cuisine,” and polite staff. The owner “Jamie” is a smug, rude and argumentative person. So, start with that and the Anejo dining experience goes downhill fast. Food is waaay overpriced so are beverages. The entire staff is unhappy and impolite. Take your $$$ and go to Casa Vallarta. Polite owners, nice staff….their menu is fairly priced and authentic Mexican as are the beverages. And, there is plenty of parking… Ole

My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner we enjoyed it very much. Yes, there is a wait but it is worth it every penny. (go walk around shop while they text you when you are ready to be seated Kudos) We shared the lobster bisque so good to share may I have another please? Chips & salsa freebie alert try not to fill up here, the menu was packed with so much food to think about she got an Chimichanga so good. I ordered Tres Enchiladas big plate summery we both ended up taking home some treats for the lunch. The restaurant was busy for a Saturday post COVID as you can imagine food was very good the drinks are as well, staff was very friendly overall we are already thinking lunch date soon. Fried Ice-cream was good a must have here we often share our plates to try new things we both enjoyed this visit and will be coming back again.

We came here midweek and the place was packed. We sat down by 6pm pm on a Wednesday. Thankfully they have a call ahead seating list and we joined it and there was a 45 min wait. We sat outside around the corner on adirondack chairs. Worth the wait. Sat outside the 3 of us. Service was excellent, friendly, quick as was the food. They clean between each table etc and adhere to masks as well. Also use your phone to pull up the menu. We ordered Margarita's, 2 Anejo ones and 1 Jalapeno infused Cucumber margarita, all very strong and delicious!! We got a basket of tortilla chip along with their spicy salsa and then ordered guacamole, that is a must, to die for! My daughter and I had the 3 taco's, pork, chicken and the steak, which was my favorite. My husband ordered the steak burritto, was huge with side and rice. No room for dessert but their desserts looked great. I can't wait to go back. Use the call ahead seating online, well worth it. Fresh ingredients, just super good! Kudo's to the chef, bar tenders and servers!

The restaurant has adapted well to COVID We sat outside at socially distanced tables The margaritas are amazing. I prefer the frozen ones, especially on a hot day. We had the calamari appetizer and I had a chicken burrito with mole sauce. Honestly it’s one of the best meals I can think of eating The server was great. Very attentive. I took a picture of the same meal I ate last year and showed the picture to her, She knew immediately what it was. The staff knows their stuff To the management .... please don’t change. I will look forward to a visit every time we come to Falmouth Cheers!
