I truly enjoy Essex or Ipswich fried clams! They are the best around and those served at Farnham's are in the top tier of the local clam shacks. Their clams are, fresh, tasty, sweet, and not greasy! Everything else that accompanied the main course was just as delicious. This is a very informal restaurant with food served on paper plates and... More

My sister Karen always speaks highly of this place so we checked it out this weekend. It was awesome. Best fried seafood ever. No oily taste, no upset stomach afterwards. Fresh fish all the way. We had fried clams and oysters with onion rings on Saturday and Haddock bites, grilled scollops and rings again last night.

Farnhams has been around forever it seems & I have always enjoyed the fried clams there, although wish they weren't so expensive, or you could get a smaller portion (1/2 box) for one person. I didn't feel like paying the price for clams for just me so I tried the lobster bisque and was very disappointed. It didn't seem to... More

In my humble opinion this little place has the best fried clams you're going to get anywhere. Snapping fresh and tasty and reasonably priced for clams these days. Go to Woodman's once but come here often.

The delivery-of-meal-to-tabel is a nice touch and a step up from the "carry your tray yourself" norm of seafood joints. All served with a smile...and the seafood will make you smile! Nice water view and less crowded than the tourist trap down the road a bit. Prices were fair (Fair meaning $30 for a medium fried clams) but this is... More

We were told we should go there. We tried it. It's ok. Very crowded, no parking (actually we got a parking ticket) Certainly not their fault, the ticket. Personally I like Bob Lobster in Plum Island better. Would I go there again? Maybe give them a second chance. It is what it is..a fried seafood shack. Can't expect a 5*... More

We couldn't wait to try the local favorite...fried clams. We stopped here because we saw a line. A line is always a good thing but...this line took forever. We waited well over an hour for our food. We chose to sit outside to eat. They also have a small dining room inside but it was packed. My husband had the... More

On vacation from Virginia and had to have fried clams and was told that Farnham's were the best. Definitely was not disappointed. Fried fresh they were delicious as were the onion rings and homemade coleslaw. Extremely friendly staff - warm and welcoming, Parking lot is small.

We had dinner here while on our anniversary trip, due to a recommendation from a friend back home. I had shrimp & fish tacos while my husband had the clams. The food was delicious, served very casual on paper plates with a view of the marsh. The lady working behind the counter was very friendly and the dinner was perfect!
