I had veal gorganzola and my wife had chicken franchaise. Both dinners were perfect. Our appetizers of clams casino and artichoke franchaise were also delicious. Our waitress Karina was the best. She was personable and very efficient. There was also live entertainment on a Wednesday...night. This is one of the finest Italian restaurants we have ever been to. We will be retuning very soon, probably for the Sunday brunch. P.S. Order one of their excellent martinis before dinner.More

We are fully vaccinated and trust the management at VN to do a great job managing the protocols. While there are a lot of tables, they are all segregated with modern plastic screens. Ordered our usual Caesar and pasta. Sadly an intrusive patron had taken...over the restaurant with very loud conversation from the bar area. We asked the waitress and she offered to move us. Knowing the room well we knew that would not be the solution so we asked to have our food to take out and were gracefully accommodated. While the waited for our take out the manager came and expressed her regret. The food was good as always and the management did what any truly competent group would do in a challenging situation. Kudos all around.More

We visited on a recent Saturday night with one other couple. My wife and I were seated at a table as our friends were just a few minutes behind. The waitress asked us if she could get us drinks. We asked her what they had...for beers on tap. She said none, but instead of showing us a drink menu or telling what was available, she only asked what do you like. After asking for 4 very common beers and being told after each that they don't have any of them, I said how about telling me what you do have. It was like pulling teeth to get answers. When our friends arrived, they went thru a similar process. At one point the waitress mentioned that they have Munich Brau in a can, which piqued my interest since I enjoy German beers. I even add the comment that you carryauthentic German beers in an Italian restaurant? The answer was a very definitive yrs. After just a few minutes she brought the beer put and it was MeneBrau - not a German beer but a beer brewed in Italy and on the can it said "Italia". Point is, it was very challenging to just simply order drinks. As for the food, it was good enough, not outstanding, but not terrible either. Their sauce was on the salty side and we were told that house salads were not included with our meals because it was Lobster fest week. I guess I'm not sure what one has to do with the other, but ok. Lastly, one of us had veal parm and another had eggplant parm. Neither dish came with any sort of side dish. It was just a plate of veal and a plate of eggplant. Overall, not what any of us expected after reading the reviews. In the restaurant/hospitality business you have one chance of capturing repeat business by providing memorable service and meal choices. Unfortunately we didn't feel that Villa Napolitana met those expectations. The likelihood of us returning is not likely at all.More

Full menu available for take out - very nice variety of Italian offerings. Phone was down for a week after a big storm - did not respond to OL inquiries as to what was going on. Phone ordering was a little hectic. - Got hung...up on; then put on hold. But hang in there - the food is worth it. Artichokes francaise were probably the best I've ever had. Spinach salad was HUGE and delicious. Entrees were well prepared. The pasta side was soggy with an unexceptional sauce. We aren't eating out these days, but their outdoor dining looked nice.More

We went on the 15th of February, after having called to see if they ha a special menu or if they were going off the regular menu, because there was a couple of items we were interested in off the regular menu. The person who...answered the phone checked with someone and assured us they were going off of the regular menu. When we got there the had a Valentine's Day Menu. We asked if they could prepare mussel app which was on the menu, they said they could. We ordered apps including 2 mussels. One order of mussels came out cold and 15 minutes before the rest of the apps. When they brought out dinner I tried mine and it did not appear to be the right item, it was very good, Lasagna I think. Our server came and said that is not obviously the correct dinner and yanked it away replacing it with the correct. Could have left the lasagna since a couple of bites were taken. We also ordered several rounds of drinks, the last she brought one drink out of 4. THe mussels were good, calamari was tough. Salmon was dry and needed sauce. We also asked if we could have vodka sauce with the risotto instead of fish sauce, vodka sauce was on the menu, this time they declined. Over all not a good experieneMore

We came for Christmas Eve dinner. First. Everything was a la carte and overpriced. I ordered chicken franchise which was cold and tough. Rather outrageous for 21.95. My friend ordered beef masala which was overcooked the price for two medium pieces with mushrooms and a...few spinach leaves was 28.95. The Italian bread was good. We ordered tiramisu which was a substandard version of a usually delicious dessert . we will not return nor can we recommend this restaurant to anyone.More

My husband and I took another couple to dinner here last night advising them that this was one of our favorites and assuring them of an enjoyable evening. When we arrived, there were a few people at the bar, but only one other couple in...the dining room. We placed our order and drinks and bread were served. It became obvious that our server was new after she repeatedly returned to the table with questions and updates. Twenty five minutes later another party of 4 arrived and so did my husband's soup and our salad. We had a special order asking for an alfredo sauce instead of marinara on a dish because our friend could not have tomatoes. Fifteen minutes later he was advised it would cost extra but still no food. More diners started to arrive and an hour has now passed as we watched the party who arrived after us getting served. I should also mention that my husband did not eat his soup because the clam chowder was watery and obviously the cream had separated. It was removed without asking for an explanation. One hour and twenty minutes after getting our drinks the first dish was served, it was the special order WITH RED sauce. We advised this was unacceptable and were leaving. Now, another waitress came over, apologized while saying over and over that our waitress was new and not sure how to place orders with the kitchen staff to have them deliver food in a timely manner. Now, everyone makes mistakes, everyone has to learn a new job, but it is the responsibility of the management to train and make sure people are ready to do the job. She should have been helped until she was ready to fly solo if anyone cared enough. No manager ever took the time to come and speak to us. This was a favorite restaurant for us but no more. We left and went to Patsy's down the road and fortunately had a wonderful meal and saved our night out.More

We were there on a Saturday night around 9 pm. The one man band was loud and the people in the restaurant were even louder, so it was pretty much a negative experience. The service was average and the food was above average. The prices...are fine. If you are party people it's ok in the bar, but if you want a romantic couples experience for dinner skip this place on a busy night. Not sure what it's like on other nights. I would have given this restaurant a four if not for the noise. I wish I had a DB meter to check.More

This was our first visit to VN even though we have lived nearby for years. We read the reviews beforehand. We were promptly seated (early reservation) by gracious host. Our waiter was equally professional and helpful and helped with the complexity of Sunday dinner menu...and regular menu. As quantity conscious seniors we share our test menu including ceasar salad with anchovies. The serving was enormous. It benefited from ground pepper. While there was no puddle of dressing in the bottom of the serving dish, the lettuce was a bit wilted from over dressing. It tasted good and the croutons were crisp. The bread was warm and yes, it had some black crisp which added to the flavor. Our shared pasta puttancesca with chicken was very tasty and equally enormous. The two of us ate less than half of it. We took a tiramisu home which I am enjoying as I write this piece. The service was outstanding. No fewer than three people paid attention to us, all of them thoughtful and solicitous. To start we did not make reservations, but the host was able to accommodate a party of two. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and they had a live band, playing nice dinner music. Our waitress greeted up promptly reviewed the menu, and told us...she was bringing out bread. The bread was brought out 10 minutes latter, burnt on the edges. We waited over a long time for the dipping oil to come out. We had to grab another waitress and ask her to bring it out. . This is the only reason I gave a four star rating. The food we had was fantastic, the stuffed portabella mushroom, chicken francese, and linguini with white clam sauce. We will definitely come back, but please change the bread.More
