Sun Tavern is one of our favorite spots in Duxbury. The steak tips and hamburgers are amazing, and the ambience is perfect for a date. Dining there is an all-around fantastic experience and really reflects the history of the area. Such is a cozy spot!

The Sun Tavern is a great experience any time of the year but my favorite is in the fall/winter once the fireplace is lit in the bar. The antique property has such an atmospheric feel and a rich history. Whether it is a quick bite...More
We went here for an anniversary dinner. Everything was exceptional...the food, the ambiance, the service...etc. It was super quiet when we went but that is what made it alluring and just intimate. We ate inside but took our desert outside where it was pretty.

Family of seven immediately seated. Very good service. Everyone in our party enjoyed the entrees -- bucatini with seafood stew and goat cheese ravioli were especially good. Looking forward to returning soon. The building is very charming -- nice place for a family get together.
Same old, same old, this tired old place? Front entrance needs a coat of paint, a dust off? Food about average, bar too busy on a Wednesday nite with 10 customers for one tender, tired, slow, hungry, please get help
