Typically we love this place. Even last year when Covid drove us to take out only. This year we had a 30 minute wait regardless of reservation. 10 minutes before anyone came to our table, another 15 minutes to get a cocktail and an hour...to get our food. At least 15 minutes to get our check. The food was very average. The dessert (pecan pie) was horrible. The problem appears to be that they added two very large tents and have doubled their seating capacity (the inside was packed) without having the staff to handle it. Just not worth it this year. We will try again next summer.More

We were told we would have a 20-30 minute wait to be seated, and it was an hour. And then another hour to get our entrees after we finally sat down. The couple behind us in line called before coming and were told it was...busy but tables were turning over and they wouldn’t have to wait long. Heard the staff tell another family that even though they had a reservation they needed to stand in line - they were still trying to seat their 7pm reservations well after 7:30. The dishonesty - accepting too many reservations and encouraging people to come when clearly they don’t have the staff/systems in place to manage a crowd - is what really bugged me. Lousy experience. Can’t recommend.More

My family ate here on a Tuesday in early August. We had a 7pm reservation but didn’t get seated until 8 and didn’t get food until 9... Not ideal when dining with kids. Surprisingly the oysters were small and not good. I had the scallops...which were great, my wife had tuna which was lovely except for the side dishes being mushy. I spoke to the manager about the delay and she offered to buy the kids dessert which would have added to our already late evening out with the kids. I know supply and demand is messed up due to Covid but I hoped for more with the reservation.More

The three of us ordered salads and waited one hour. The restaurant had only a few guests when we arrived.

This is our new favorite place in the Dennis area, and we recently brought family with us, so we were 6 and had made a reservation more than a week ahead. I do wonder about other reviewers, and how well they know seafood, because these...are some of the absolute FRESHEST oysters you will get - harvested earlier in the day, or a day before serving! Three in our group got the scallops (from Chatham…Fresh!) with lobster risotto, which was delicious! Another review found “a small piece of lobster shell”….this is not a big deal! Kitchens are understaffed, and turning out consistently excellent meals in everything we had, yum. I’d have dinner 5 nights a week here if I could. I had the lobster quesadilla, which was out of this world, with enough to bring home. We also had 30 oysters, and 2 bottles of Starborough Sauvignon Blanc, NZ. Finally, I think they keep prices reasonable compared to what other restaurants charge for excellent seafood (this is not a fried fish and chips type place). Servers work so hard to keep up, and ALWAYS have a smile! We’ll be back soon! Thank you!More

My word… Great place! Not the most diverse menu…Whatever is prepared is 9.5-10!!! Presented professionally as well as appealing on the plate! Zero complaints…. The food that is! Certain nights present certain hostesses. The one we had should have worked at a U.S. Navy Bucket...of Blood! Walked in asked about being on list for 10-12 people… She “Stunk-eyed” my wife.. Sized her up via head to toe gaze. Attitude was the pits. Kept interrupting when we tried to explain what was needed… Kept repeating herself as if we were unintelligent. We didn’t allow her to dictate our evening. All I could remember was my Mother and a saying referencing the unfortunate & ignorant…. In the end a person in our party unbeknownst to us made a reservation which we went back to tell her and we received the same snide “As I said before… I’ll let you know if we can do this for you” then the look of shock when we walked by her and sat at our reserved table! Meal was beyond excellent… Just a bad night for the Fine Dining Bouncer disguised as a Hostess @ the front doorMore

Food was excellent. From the oysters to the desert. Reservations a must. We visit every year. They do however need air conditioning. It was a little warm inside

Four of us had dinner at the Oyster Company. We were very disappointed. The chowder was good. The oyster appetizer was OK but overpriced. The sauteed shrimp and scallops dinner was overcooked. Two of us selected the Chatham scallops with lobster risotto. The scallops were...cooked correctly. The risotto was undistinguished. There were shells and lobster cartilage in one of the dishes. The fourth dish was the sashimi tuna. It was cooked correctly but our friend doubted it was yellow fin tuna. Overall, the food was overpriced. As for service, the person waiting on us was great but the cook staff was a disaster. The appetizers came out at a reasonable pace but the (boring) bread showed up at least a half hour after we had put in our dinner order. And then we waited and waited and waited. Dinner came 75 minutes after the order was put in. A wait that seemed even longer because of the 70’s radio station being played over 2 cheap speakers set up on steps facing the tent where we were seated. Our server was great otherwise we would have walked out.More

This place is one of my favorite restaurants located on the cape. We visited during May 2021 and June 2021 and we were very happy with our food, drinks and service during both visits. Our first visit we sat at the bar and it was...great. Our second visit we sat at a table and it was also great. The restaurant is very busy so call ahead for seating. They do have an outdoor seating area under a tent but we didn’t sit outdoors. Did I mention the food drinks and service are great : )More

We love to have dinner at Oyster Company during our annual Cape Cod visit. We highly recommend reservations because it is a popular spot which offers inside and outside dining as well as a nice bar. There is parking onsite but it gets very crowded....We timed it so we could have the ($1.50) oysters as an appetizer (served before 6:30 pm), and they were delicious. Their horseradish is spicy and delicious too. They offer a nice wine menu. The waitress was friendly and efficient; courses were timed perfectly. They serve bread with homemade hummus. My husband had the Cioppino AGAIN because it is so delicious he never wants to try another option (LOL). I had the linguini with white clam sauce which included 12 little neck clams. We had cappuccino and the delicious raspberry cheesecake for dessert which I highly recommend. Thanks again for a wonderful meal and evening Oyster Company.More

Dennisport. It was not open for lunch when we were there but for the summer rush it may be.
