Red Pheasant is our favorite for special occasions. You can always count on the meal being one to remember. Seafood or steaks,it's all delightful.

I saw this restaurant mentioned in a copy of Edible Cape Cod, a magazine dedicated to organic farming and restaurants that serve farm to table fare. I read a number of reviews for the place and decided that the folks who were more positive didn't have some weird axe to grind. We got off to a good start with cocktails... More

Delicious food in a cozy 18th Century farmhouse setting prepared by a French trained chef. His wife Denise is a lovely hostess Swordfish, Sole, Filet, sautéed Scallops. Served with sides to die for. Scalloped potato, French beans, vegetable medleys all served by pleasant and very attentive wait staff who work together to anticipate your needs. Desserts such the giant Profiteroles... More

We were fortuante to be here on a quiet night, and although we didn't order a ton of food, what we did order (mostly a selection of appetizers and saleds) were great. The food was "balanced" - right mix of ingredients, and not trying to be over-the-top - and the portions manageable. We tried a number of the highly-rated local... More

Charming, antique, cozy barn atmosphere could use a tweaking. I would have liked seeing real candle light and fresh flowers at all the tables. Some beautiful fabrics would add a welcomed warmth, also. That being said, I hope that you.. Keep reading..... What a delicious surprise and " The Red Pheasant " owners were so very friendly. The service was... More

Thank you for your review. We are glad you loved the food and the service. We do have fresh flowers on our tables in the summer but right now your table had a seasonal mini pumpkin decorated with locally grown dried straw flowers and seashells, something I make for all our tables every year! The walls in the Garden Room... More

As soon as I walked in, I was reminded of a restaurant that would have been the go-to place for special occasions in the '60s and '70s. The diners all appeared to be in that age group and were quietly enjoying their beverages and meals. The atmosphere didn't shout Cape Cod or two hundred year-old barn (which the building was),... Thank you for your comments, we always enjoy hearing guests opinions. Actually the barn is 250 years old and was a ship's Chandlery on Corporation Beach where they built boats inside. It is old Cape Cod with wide board floors and Victorian lights, not the Cape Cod many think of with blues and a beach feel. After 38 years in... More

We stayed only three nights in the East Dennis area, and after a lovely meal on our first night we went back again on our third. This is a lovely old building with wooden beams and a cozy atmosphere. The food was imaginative and delicious. Once I chose the sole meuniere, and next the duck. Both came with gratin potatoes... More

Like many Cape Cod visitors, we're here for just one week each year, so we choose our dinner destinations carefully. Based on last years experience, we re-visited the Red Pheasant and found it to be as good as we remembered. The Garden room is lovely and manages to feel relaxed even when full. The duck with cranberry was still spectacular,... More

Enjoyed dinner at the intimate bar before a film at a local theater. The rack of lamb with seasonal vegetables was perfectly prepared. The service by the bartender was spot on
