If you plan on going for dinner I would suggest calling and making reservations. They can get very busy especially on Friday or Saturday nights. The prime rib I believe would be their specialty. It comes in various sizes with the conductors cut being the biggest. It has the bone still on it and it is BIG. They also serve... More

Best seafood and prime rib around! Service is always good! Need reservations for dinner. Dining in the train car is comfy and fun!

I've been coming to Bernie's for years. It's a family friendly place, the waitresses are great and friendly. The food is plentiful at s great price. Sometimes the food is not great, good, but not great. That's why, just because there's s lot of it, it does not translate into a great plate.

I have gone to Bernie's many times. I am not a prime rib fan, so I can't comment on that. anything else I have ordered has been impressively HUGE portion-wise. Less impressive is the taste. I love cod and haddock, and I have ordered it there prepared several different ways. It has never been great but instead rubbery and overcooked.... More

We like the food at Bernie's and I go for the Prime Rib but the other food is good to. The kids love to sit in the old train car. I get the small cut of Prime Rib and it is plenty. The last time we were there we were not to happy with our waitress. She never told us... More

Very Good Prime Rib is very large like the Flintstones would eat,sea food is more then plenty with full clams and scallops. The turkey dinner is great as well as the shepards pie. The deserts are good as well strawberry short cake.

I have seen people eating what looks like half a cow....I don't eat it...but they said it was great...most take enough for 3 meals home....I always get the fish...which is also fantastic...and enough for lunch the next day....service can be a little haphazard...but food is worth it...

There really is only one reason to got yo Bernie's and that's the prime rib and to eat in a restored railroad dining car. I tried some seafood once and while not very good, I've eaten the prime rib dozens of times. Pay attention to the size you order as the "Caboose" (smallest) is huge by other restaurants standards. Don't... More

Had been our family favorite for years (large portions, reasonably priced). However, the quality of the food has deteriorated in the last year and a half. This evening, someone in our party ordered the haddock. He was just explaining to us that it was dry and didn't seem to be settling well, when he suddenly had to run to the... More
