The Real Deal

I’m not a fan of buffets, but as authentic Chinese (such as you would find in China) this one is the real deal. I was impressed with the great variety of dishes available and was able to find plenty of choices that suited my Western-biased palace. My Chinese wife and daughter were in heaven, however, after experiencing so much fake or Americanized Chinese food in New England. The prices are reasonable, particularly at lunchtime, and the dishes are as well prepared as one can expect at a buffet, in fact, better than most!

This place offers a good selection of hot and cold dishes, including a small selection of sushi. Be advised, get a plate at a time. Food tends to cool fast so to avoid food issues, eat a plate at a time. Sushi selection wasn't bad. Glad they offered sauces. Some places don't. The cheese wonton (crab puff) were huge! At first thought they were airpockets but delighted to find out it was filling! 😊 If in the Boston "Chelsea" area, give them a try.

Good food, Good Price, Small Place

Located in a strip mall - plenty of parking - good food & sushi - small place compared to some of the bigger buffets but has excellent food choices.

Can I give 3.5 stars?

This is my first time going to Mandarin Buffet, we find ourselves at the Home Depot (in the same plaza) often and decided to give it a try. I tried green beans: awesome, bok choy, would have been good but it was the end of the tray and the new one didn't come out in time for me. Meats: honey chicken-good, beef: good. Fish: octopus: chewy, crawfish a hit. I didn't see any tofu dishes or good eggplant dishes which are my "goto" at Asian restaurants. I did not try the sushi. Parking was fantastic so if people have any issues with that, no worries. It was not a "wow", it was not even a super yum, but it was much better than average, great prices, and good parking. I'd go again.

Stopped here after being told we had to wait at Chili's for 30 minutes! Walked right in and was seated! Our son enjoyed the self serve cookies and cream ice cream the most! Sushi and more! Stop and enjoy!

Ok, but not stellar

We went on a Sunday night for dinner. Children under 11 eat at reduced price. The parking lot is spacious and the storefront looks neat. We were welcomed and seated right away. The Chinese front of the house staff was friendly and efficient, taking orders, and keeping the table clean. There are many food options, including Sushi, and a dessert buffet. The recommendations on the menu are: *Hot and spicy egg soup *Spicy tuna sushi *I've cream and fruit dessert buffet, and *The absolute kicker: the fruit smoothies, especially the Lychee flavor Enjoy!

The buffet makes it hard to avoid all of the things that I crave, crab rangoon, chicken wings, pork ribs. But save yourself and stick with the clams. No regrets there.

Excellent Quality - Better than the rest

Yes, it's small, but you will find everything you want and the quality is the best. All the buffet trays are made to order; as soon as something runs out, another is replaced, pronto, hot and fresh. Their seafood dishes are excellent. My friend loves their crab Rangoon. I rave about the butter salmon and butter shrimp and clams. String beans? The best! Really, try this place you will be pleasantly surprised because each dish on the buffet is thoughtfully put together. Oh, they have a fabulous Sushi bar and freshly shucked oysters (in season). Enjoy.

Wanted Chinese Buffet BAD!!!!!

I always read reviews but don't look to much into, this place the reviews where on point. When they said small buffet they weren't kidding. What they lack in quantity they made up in quality. FOOD WAS AWESOME! Kids & myself loved it. Very family friendly, waitress was very hospitable, recommended and will be going again!

If you like Buffett style restaurants then Mandarin Buffett is certainly worth the trip but go during the weekdays for lunch or dinner because the weekends are extremely busy and the customers can be quite hostile when they're hungry.

One of the Best LOCAL Chinese Buffet's Around

We usually go once a month because by friend loves their seafood. Clams, mussels, octopus, shrimp, and more all cooked perfectly in specialty sauces. Their sushi is very good and this week we had the best raw oysters anywhere, plumb and juicy. They were the best. Plenty of beef, chicken, and vegetable choices. Lots of appetizers, fresh fruit, desserts,and ice cream.

Good Food, Lots of Choices Great Price

Prices can't be beat...but if you're looking for the typical Americanized Chinese food appetizers and fare (chow mien/chop suey) you won't find it here. This is a buffet ONLY. LOTS of choices (including little necks and mussels) and the food is quite tasty. You can NOT leave this place hungry!

One of the best buffet restaurants locally

Nice buffet, good options for lunch/dinner & they serve alcoholic beverages. You can go with friends, family or even kids. There's a small raw bar, sushi and hot buffet. Weekends are packed, so plan on a wait. Enjoy!!!
