We were looking for a good local place serving fish and chips and the receptionist at the hotel recommended Fishbones. Clearly a locals' favorite, there was a waiting line, but we were lucky enough to find counter seating near the bar. Our entrees were perfect! Only drawback was the lack of draft beer--bottled beer doesn't quite cut it for us,... More

My two friends took me to Fishbones when I visited the area two weeks ago and it was delicious. They have a very varied and extensive menu. I had the luncheon special of Sea Scallops over Goat Cheese Gnocchi and it was so good!!! My two friends had the Lobster Roll and they both said it was incredible. They have... More

Got the fried oysters which were overcooked. They quickly corrected it, but the batter was flavorless and heavy. They use a fish fry mix and do not make it in house. The clam chowder was heavily flavored with possibly Bay Seasoning and maybe thickened with corn starch. Will not get either of the two again.

My husband and I always come to fishbones when craving seafood. You can never go wrong, the food is delicious . We normally start with oysters on the half shell. We have never gone wrong with any of the fish dishes. I had the fried oysters which were so good! My daughters favorite is always the lobster roll. The only... More

This is a very popular place and is most often quite busy, so be prepared to wait -- you can enjoy a drink, or in the nicer weather sit outside while you wait to be seated. They do not take reservations. The restaurant is nestled in the center of town with plenty of available parking (street, behind restaurant, public parking... More

Love this place! we go when we can usually at non-peak hours. It's such a popular place that it's tough to get a table unless you want to wait a while. Knew you are seated though, the service is quick and the food is awesome! I like the oysters but any seafood choice won't disappoint.

I really enjoy going in the summer and eating in the small patio. Is the few seafoods in my area. Don't forget the drink menu.

Atmosphere is pleasant and bright but nothing real special. Wait staff was very good. The calamari was OK but a bit rubbery. The sides were good. One of us ordered the haddock broiled, dry with no butter. It came very greasy. The were fine with replacing and it came out as ordered the second time. By then I had finished... More

Arriving at the Resturant we were seated quickly and service was efficient and friendly. The food menu offers a wide variety of dishes at reasonable prices. Try getting a table away from others if you can as the acoustics are not good and the place is very popular and noisy.
