We went with a wide selection of tapas dishes; all were excellent although the grilled shrimp dish was too salty for some of us. Yet wait staff was friendly and attentive and, special recognition to the young ladies who ran our orders, kept our water glasses full and were, in a word, delightful. They will develop into terrific servers or... More

Hi OG Thanks so much for writing a review! We’re so please you noticed our attentive, hospitable service (full water glasses at all times one of our goals of excellent and attentive service), and we’re thrilled you made note of our "excellent" tapas and our "outstanding" truffle fries—which is definitely relative to both the costly truffle oil and parmesan cheese... Recently returned to Moonstones getting together with a friend and what a surprise - it was a fantastic experience. Gave the Potato Pancakes another try and they were terrific. In addition enjoyed half a portion of their Tag pasta dish, which was tasty. The highlight tho was the house made Beet Ravioli's (yes I said Beet)! They arrived (four of... More

I have been there with some of my friends and found this place a good one. It has nice decor and low lighting, perfect for the evening. I tried shrimps and sea shells, they were good. Overall, a must visit the place which can offer a variety of tasty food. And yes, the staff is very very gracious.

While Moonstones has several large plates, they specialize in a wide variety of small dishes from around the world. That makes it easy to satisfy varying degrees of hunger in a group. There were three of us, and we just ordered a bunch of things. The waiter was especially helpful in suggesting that several be brought at the start, with... More

Hi Michele, Thanks so much for this stellar review. We are honored to offer such fab tapas selections to the Greater Lowell area ("Chelmsford, who knew?!") and we absolutely embrace our philosophy of "think global. eat local" while exceeding guest expectations. Glad you agree! Hope you can dine with us again soon! Sincerely, S.Plath More

Been here several times for lunch. Everything's always good. Had a sushi appetizer today that was yummie.

Dear Rich, Thank you so much for the excellent 5-star review. In the scheme of things, it is perhaps my 4th favorite aspect regarding your feedback, and surely appreciated. Third on the list would be the word "yummy," a top goal of ours for sure; we do believe we have the best team of chefs around. Second, would be your... More

We had a group of six for dinner and tapas. The ambience is perfect for provoking good conversation. The service was excellent-- we were never wanting. I ordered the embutido bombiero-- it came flaming in a pig shaped dish. It was spectacular. Would go again.

Hi Anjchang, We're thrilled you enjoyed your "spectacular" dining experience with us. We so proud of our menu, staff, and atmosphere- and we love when our guests agree! We're especially happy with the "never wanting" comment, as one of our core philosophies is that our guests are "never in need of anything, and never have anything they don't need." FYI:... More

A very nice wine list. We ordered several tapas plates. Makaela, our server, was very helpful in describing the dishes and the portion sizes. We thoroughly enjoyed the excellent taste and combination of tastes of each dish ordered. We will definitely return the next time we visit Chelmsford.

Recently went to Moonstones and had a variety of their small tapas plates. The Shrimp Tempura was very nice, small, but tasty. The spicy sausage flat bread for okay - a little dry. The Potato Pancakes were very thin and overly cooked - in fact burned. Those got returned to the kitchen and they were not re-ordered. A complimentary dessert... More

Martha Thank you for visiting and your honest feedback. I am sorry that we did not exceed your expectations--our daily goal with every guest. We don't always get it "right"---to the standard we expect of ourselves and our team but feedback like this helps to recognize our flaws and correct them. I actually saw your potato pancakes being returned to... More

Nicely appointed interior. Brunch menu is a combo of tapas choices along with main courses. My husband loved the lobster eggs Benedict which had actual pieces of lobster. The croque madam was a bit odd in that it was an egg on crusty bread and then a pile of ham on another. This part of the metro north-west burbs doesn't... More

3 friends and I met at Moonstones for brunch. We were seated in the lounge area which was a bit loud. 2 friends shared a burger and latke, the third had eggs Benedict (made with lobster in the sauce), we ordered a bacon skillet ($7.95) for the table and I ordered the scrambled eggs flatbread and latke. Dear LeeAnn: I am terribly sorry to hear about the service gaps that occurred on your Sunday brunch. There is no excuse, and in fact what occurred at your table is exactly counter to a strict policy that I preach at both of my restaurants, that even the slightest lapse in customer service or the slightest sign of dissatisfaction with...
