Recently went to Moonstones and had a variety of their small tapas plates. The Shrimp Tempura was very nice, small, but tasty. The spicy sausage flat bread for okay - a little dry. The Potato Pancakes were very thin and overly cooked - in fact burned. Those got returned to the kitchen and they were not re-ordered. A complimentary dessert... More

Martha Thank you for visiting and your honest feedback. I am sorry that we did not exceed your expectations--our daily goal with every guest. We don't always get it "right"---to the standard we expect of ourselves and our team but feedback like this helps to recognize our flaws and correct them. I actually saw your potato pancakes being returned to... More

Nicely appointed interior. Brunch menu is a combo of tapas choices along with main courses. My husband loved the lobster eggs Benedict which had actual pieces of lobster. The croque madam was a bit odd in that it was an egg on crusty bread and then a pile of ham on another. This part of the metro north-west burbs doesn't... More

3 friends and I met at Moonstones for brunch. We were seated in the lounge area which was a bit loud. 2 friends shared a burger and latke, the third had eggs Benedict (made with lobster in the sauce), we ordered a bacon skillet ($7.95) for the table and I ordered the scrambled eggs flatbread and latke. All of the... More

Dear LeeAnn: I am terribly sorry to hear about the service gaps that occurred on your Sunday brunch. There is no excuse, and in fact what occurred at your table is exactly counter to a strict policy that I preach at both of my restaurants, that even the slightest lapse in customer service or the slightest sign of dissatisfaction with... Four of us met for brunch and ate some delicious food. I had the lobster benedict, my friends had the omelet and the red velvet pancakes. They raved about their food as well. We could not decide what to get for dessert and ended up getting the chef's selection of four: flourless chocolate cake, red velvet pancakes, crunchy cheesecake and... More

Great place for oysters and innovative raw fish salads. Meals are served in tapas sized portions so you can share several items and get a great variety. Truffle fries are a good snack with bar items and the mushroom risotto is warm, rich, and filling.

Awful! Had eaten at Moonstone several times in the past and it was always excellent. Hadn't been in a year and went back tonight expecting the same level of excellence - couldn't be more disappointed. It was terrible!! They changed the menu and limited doesn't begin to describe it. Mainly unusual tapas and very few large plates. The tapas were... More

Hi Criordan, Thanks for writing- but we're saddened by your (slightly harsh) review. Here at moonstones we strive to exceed guest expectations and get better everyday (8 years and counting...), sometimes that involves menu changes to keep things interesting and exciting, though we don't feel we've ever been unsteady in our vision of providing a high quality, global dining experience... In one word - Amazing! Wow! Started off with pre dinner drinks: “London Calling” Hendricks gin martinis w/ cucumber only. Delish. Turkish mezze for appetizer. Dinner was deliberately light since we had a late lunch on the road. Ordered ½ dozen raw oysters on half shell and New England mussels in a tomato based garlic sauce. For dessert, we enjoyed... This is my favorite place in Chelmsford and the vibe is great. The bar, the restaurant and the raw bar all have their merit. The raw bar is my favorite in the area. The burger is also a favorite

We walked in late on a Monday nite, the kitchen was closing but the manager let us in . We sat at the bar and had some wonderful small plates and some very good drinks. We had been traveling and were enroute home, but if we lived anywhere near this resturant it would become a regular spot for us.

It was so good I wish there was a 6 star selection. It was a good restaurant with good food and drinks. I had a kiddie meal of French fries and cheese toast that was very good and chocolate pate was good too. And the decoration
