This was our second visit to Chatham Bars Inn. Even if you don't stay there, you must have a drink on the veranda overlooking the cove and out to the ocean. They have heaters and blankets to hand out but ALWAYS take a sweater or jacket. CBI is an absolutely beautiful gem. We were there mid afternoon and split oysters... More

The atmosphere is breath taking and the food was spectacular . We were there on the evening of the full moon which was truly amazing! Our service was however absolutely horrible!! So bad that we shortened our stay there.

We ate in the Sacred Cod, the service was horrific, it took a long time to be served. Our food was expensive and very disappointing. The most "unamerican" service we have encountered. My husbands batter on his fish and chips was inedible and we couldn't get anyone's attention to tell them. We were offered a complimentary dessert when our waiter... More

Go for the view not the food. Stars is over priced and under delivers. Portions are minuscule and prices are sky high! Higher than Nantucket which is super pricey, but better food. I had the sirloin which I ordered medium rare and came well done. I sent it back It was super tough both times, although the flavor of the... More

Loved our recent visit to the outdoor restaurant at The Chatham Bars Inn. Simply lovely in every way. The veranda is inviting and beautiful with a classic cod water view and excellent service. Service was attentive and gracious but never haughty. I was impressed by their stack of lovely blanket shawls should any of the guests feel chilly outside (one... More

We found the view, the setting, the landscaping breathtaking. It is a romantic Hotel for a special occasion. Service is wonderful and we are still enjoy being spoiled. It is not a modern hotel so our room and many others are on the smaller side. The water view makes up for it and the balcony is more like a terrace... More

This location is phenomenal and the views are great. However if you come by for a drink outside you may have to wait a very long time for service. Waitresses have an attitude and seem to favor only the in house guests. This probably comes from management. Expensive drinks. Food is inconsistently good and bad. Great for corporate people who... We had a fabulous dinner at the Captain's Table in Stars. We were celebrating a birthday and just fit the 13 chairs at this table in the private dining room off of the main restaurant. The table was set beautifully with blue plates and 2 flower arrangements of hydrangeas and roses. The service was just right. Our group included children and... More

this is not a restaurant to enjoy a leisurely pleasant meal every visit to a dining facility encumbered numerous very young children roaming around or loudly taiking. It may be a family restaurant but not for a couple wishing a leisurely meal!

Came here with family on a Tuesday night. We sat on the porch to eat. Had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. The menu is only appetizers. We were very disappointed as we thought there would be a bigger menu. That being said, the waiter was very accommodating and made some changes we requested. There was calamari on... More
