As a loyal customer of the original Vinings Bistro for 20 years, (when it was above Carmines), I was hopeful that not too much would change when it moved to it's new location across the parking lot. Well, I was sadly disappointed. Most of my favorite dishes are no longer on the menu, and the atmosphere is a mere shadow... More

We were disappointed by this bistro. I add salt to many of my dishes. However, the linguine and clams was almost inedible. Way too salty. The salads, mussels, crab cakes were very good. We will not return to this restaurant.

It's not called Vining's Bistro anymore, it's now the Bistro on Main St. and the food is outstanding. We had reservation and there were still a few tables available, but the place was filling up fast as we left. They also have an outdoor patio which is beautiful. The have a lot of seafood on the menu, naturally, but also... More

We sat at the bar and ordered great littlenecks, salads and apps. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Would definitely go back!

We pretty much picked this place at random. It is a plain looking place with a raw oyster bar. The menu is varied with a number of daily specials. I had the ciopino which was very good. The service is efficient and friendly. The background music was fantastic, old hippie protest songs from the sixties and seventies. Overall, an enjoyable... More

This was a nice meal. The sword fish was prepared just as a ask. It melted in my mouth. The portions are a nice size and the favors where right on. The server was on top of it with great suggestions and a very pleasant personality.

Our waitress literally spoilt our evening, when we arrived and she came to serve us, no introduction, reluctant to explain the menu and treated us as though we were stupid when we asked the meanings of the words poke, scrod- baby cod etc. Our starters were delicious, smoked salmon and tuna poke, basically a tuna tartar, but we got no... Eclectic menu. Nice flavors, chef excels in creations.Have had dinner here many times as a resident; quiet place, out of the way, off beaten path, worth seeking out.

We had lunch here and the food and service were great. We ordered a Lobster Roll with Garlic Fries and a bowl of White Clam Chowder. The lobster roll was overflowing with well seasoned lobster, and the fries were served hot. The chowder was also loaded with clams and well seasoned. The server was very attentive. The restaurant was clean... More

We live in town and go to Vining's several times a year. The food is consistently good and there is some variety in addition to the "standard fare". A bit on the pricy side but all-in-all makes for a nice evening.
