You have to eat here at least once when near Chatham. Food is fresh and very good, the atmosphere is....unique. You're right in a fish market with fish boats coming in and unloading lots and lots of fresh and often smelly fish. But the setting is so unique yo have to go here.

Went here because it was on our bucket list and had such a great! We got to see two boats unload their catches! Amazing to see a average fisherman town how they earn a honest living. There was also plenty of seals too! Of course because of the fishing boats they know where the goods are lol. It reminded us... More

We enjoyed watching the boats come unload and seeing the seals. It had been recommended to us that we also eat here so we looked for the restaurant; were a little surprised that it was simply a walk-up window with no actual seating area except for a couple of outdoor picnic tables. The food was excellent, however...very fresh and reasonable.... More

After a recommendation from our B&B, we went to the Fish Pier in Chatham at 3 pm. This 3 - 5pm is when the fish boats unload. The seals come in close in hopes of getting fed. It is a good show. We then went to the takeout window ( there is no dining room ), and took our meal... More

Chatham Pier Fish Market always has the freshest sea food. Stuff is very friendly. Their fish and chips is amazingly good! As a bonus you can always see seals floating by the pier and fishermen unloading their boats. We newer miss a chance to stop by when we are in Chatham.

Not only can you buy fish to cook at home/cottage, but you can also order food there and eat it outside. The market is right on Chatham Harbor where the fishing boats come in with their haul for the day. Plenty of photo ops with the seals and seagulls as they compete for the fishermen's throw-aways.

Small nice pier to watch fishermen offloading their cargo, and seals swimming around... Buying some takeout food was a great idea, and the fish & chips was awesome ! Parking was not an issue since we visited off season, but I guess it will be a problem on a busy day.

Some have written that this is a restaurant, and although they offer takeout cooked food (as well as fresh, uncooked fish and seafood), there are only two picnic tables available for eating, and those are on the edge of a very busy parking lot. We ordered cooked lobsters and fish and chips to go: all very good. You will need lobster... More

Really tasty food in authentic location. Chowder is delicious and even though fish is fried, batter is light and doesn't taste greasy. Seal watching after dinner was an added bonus.

It was very interesting to see the fishing boats come into the pier and watch them unload their catch. Bonus was seeing the seals so close to shore! The market was much smaller than I envisioned, and selection of fish was adequate. We ordered clam strip baskets which were delicious. For dinner we took home shrimp and scallops which we... More
