I have had the pleasure of dining in and ordering out from Spinnaker over the past years, and this review is long overdue, after the most recent take-out order for three amazing dished enjoyed while soaking in the sunset on a private beach front in...Chatham MA. Without hesitation, making a reservation at this restaurant or for take-out orders should 100% be prioritized over booking a nice hotel/AirBnB if time and experiences are prized and can not be traded. A meal from Spinnaker Restaurant helps complete a well planned visit to enjoy the tranquility of Cape Cod Mass. We ordered three dishes, and the chef and restaurant wait-staffs are consistently attentive in all dining needs, including small adjustments to one of the dishes (with sausage and cheese on the side, separately packed). The slow cooked beef short rib (Tuscan Beef Peposo) was tender, appropriately seasoned and with the proper amount of sauce for both each of the nicely shaped cubes, and the smaller bites those original short rib cubes are being cut into, and entire dish was dutifully fought over by multiple people, immersed in the aroma of the dish while admiring the beautiful asparagus green accompanied with aptly sauteed carrot. And for sharing, Chef Rob's Traditional Long-Cooking Ragu Bolognese sets the standard for me, as Bolognese is incredibly difficult to do well, the balance of sauce/how it coats the noodle and the texture of the noodle are all elements requiring vision, experience and care to execute well, consistently, every time. I find enjoying this Bolognese dish extremely satisfying every time I have ordered it. Lastly, the Chatham Clams and Baby Shrimp dish (over handmade cavatelli and topped with the pickled Fresno peppers and a white wine garlic sauce) was divine. Burst of colors and nicely proportioned cavatelli with the freshly cooked clams and baby shrimps, with just enough sauce accompanying all the ingredients to, are just prelude to a tasty and masterfully prepared dish which I hope they are able to keep on the menu for ages to come. I happened to have a fresh small loaf of French bread (Demi) from a can't miss Brookline Mass based bakery and dipping a slice of that bread to completely soak up all the last remaining trace of sauce from this dish made me want to instantly order it again, if I could. The portions for all dishes are suitable for a nice meal, for all seasons. And by the time we started eating that slice of moist carrot cake, I felt rejuvenated by the experience and relaxed enough to imagine and plan for the next trip.More

We met two other couples for dinner at Spinnaker in Brewster last night (9/16/21), and our experience was outstanding, from the moment we walked in and were greeted by Andrea, to when we left. Our server, Pam was excellent. The food…oh my God! Out of...this world!! The octopus appetizer was phenomenal! Enjoyed dinner here with three friends. We ordered and shared four appetizers, four entrees, and three desserts - every one loved every dish and every bite got eaten. It's hard to play favorites, but if I had to choose.... Chickpea Fritters and Pillows & Blankets...to start... followed by the Swordfish and Bolognese Pasta... ending with the Ricotta Cheesecake... and in addition to the the curated wine list, they make an incredible Old Fashioned. Spinnaker is terrific, even in spite of the pandemic. Their courtyard in the back has been transformed into a lovely open area, protected by the inn and nice fencing on three sides, but still under the stars, with a series of California heaters which effectively...thrown off more than enough heat even on a 55 degree night. The chef/owners and their staff are wonderful. The food is excellent, with a weekly menu that keeps favorites and adds new dishes. The pillows and blankets appetizer is delicious (fried reggiano and thinly sliced prosciutto); tasty octopus appetizer; love the bolognese pasta, the wild mushroom pasta from the last few weeks; pork chop; lamb scottidito; and the cavatelli with baby shrimp, littlenecks and crumbled sausage. The bread pudding for dessert is awesome. Very reasonably priced wine list.....love the Montepulciano at $38. We love Spinnaker! Their inside is open also consistent with state regs, though we have been staying alfresco....we already have our reservation for a return this weekend....third weekend in a row!More

We brought to more people to Spinnaker: my daughert and my mother. Sometimes you might be hyping something too much, but not in this case. Yes we gave them a preview and told them they would be amazed! The evening was simply spectacular. Ambiance was...spectacular with the lights . We were plenty cozy with the ample heaters - creating outdoor festive heating. We had the mushroom dish and the swordfish. Well the swordfish was the best I have ever experienced. Then the desserts were equally great. We knew from previous visits that the bread pudding is simply the best. My mom who can only rave about her experience in New Orleans with Bread Pudding was the best and no one could beat it. Well she confessed that Chef Rob's was better. The Hazelnut dessert was unbelievable. I am not the biggest dessert person but this was the bomb!!! You can never go wrong at Spinnaker!More

Found this gem through a friend’s recommendation. Charming Inn/Restaurant with great historical interest. Andrea, one of the owners, could not have been better to work with for our reservation and was delightful in person. Very kind and attentive. The cocktails were bracing and delicious. Well-crafted....Solid wine list. Chef Rob (the other owner) works hard (we enjoyed a view into the kitchen from our special table) and the result was spectacular. The Pillows and Blankets appetizer (Aged Parmigiano/Prosciutto) was really special as was the Clam Toast. Of note was their Caesar Salad. The entrees, Dayboat Seafood Pasta, Roasted Chicken Under a Brick, and Chef Rob’s Ragu Bolognese were all outstanding. The service was first-rate.
