First time to Ashley’s and the last! Food was just ok but watch for the little details added that they shouldn’t charge for or they don’t tell you. You get cold water free but my friend asked for a cup of hot water for the...herbal tea she brought. They charged her $.99 for hot water. We both ordered omelets and the waitress came over just before we got them and asked if we wanted cheese on them. We both said yes. She did not tell us there was an extra charge but we were charged $1.50 for the cheese and the waitress said she didn’t have to tell us. But when my friend said no toast she was still charged for it. No deduction there. Also my omelet was supposed to have prosciutto which is thin and has a significant taste. But instead it was thick sliced chopped ham. When I asked about it I was told the “owner/cook” said it was prosciutto. No it wasn’t. There was only one other couple there so it wasn’t crowded. When we asked the waitresses about the above concerns they acted like they were frustrated that we were even asking. No need to scam the customers with all the secret charges. Bad business. Won’t be back.More

Stopped here for breakfast on our way home from Boston. Cannot say enough nice things about the staff. They were all so friendly and genuinely concerned that the customer enjoyed the food. Large menu selections as well.

Traveling by for meeting and decide to grab some breakfast. This little place had the best omelette menu I’ve ever encountered. The seafood was outstanding with shrimp, scollop and calamari-for real! Not just a little hint of each, plenty! Better was the friendly greeting when...I walked through the door. Servers were attentive and unobtrusive. They greeted regulars by name and glided around at a comfortable part. Chef even came out to check to see if the food was good. Well worth the trip if you are in the area and hungry. They serve lunch as well!More

First visit was awesome, second not so good. Have not been back since. Parking iffy. Expensive, but worth it the first time only.

Do not let the appearance turn you off. This is a locally owned neighborhood joint. Cindy and Sandy treated us like royalty. They have the usual breakfast food plus other items you will not find on other menus. Seafood omelette, kielbasa and eggs and the...NE Patriot Pride omelette. The best item on the menu is the pork tips. Ashley's is around the corner from the Motel 6 at the Braintree subway stop. Parking is free. I would eat there again.More

Ashley's offers a fantastic menu of affordable and delicious breakfast items! It is a smaller location, so there may be a wait, but well worth it! Parking can also be a little tough.

This restaurant is your classic "hole in the wall" restaurant. It was smallish and clean and some of the booths were ripped, but the breakfast choices were out of this world. They had over 15 variety of Eggs Benedict and just as many omelet varieties....You could order a plate with one egg, hash browns, coffee and toast for under $5 which is nice if you don't have a large appetite. They had a whole page of low fat meals. We went on a Sunday morning and there were 8 breakfast specials. They also had a counter with round stools where you could come in and order a single meal. There was even a little bell, that the cook would ring when an order was ready. Who does that anymore? The staff was friendly and the food great. You could tell this was one of those places that all the locals visit.More

Get there early! They close at 2:00. This is a breakfast and lunch place. When I work in the area it is rare that I can get here, because my lunch is usually from 2-3. But I got out early this week and I was...able to go here. I've been here before and it has always been great. What do you want to eat? There is a menu, but there is a bunch of additional choices posted on hand written posters all over the walls. Some very unusual creations! I dare say, if you want it, they can make it, pretty much no matter what it is. I've had breakfasts and lunches there. The prices are extremely reasonable and the food is abundant. They don't go overboard with there portion sizes, but it certainly is ample for the meal you're having. The staff are locals. They've been there for ever. They chat with you and amongst themselves very openly. Customers yell back and forth across the room with friendly banter. It is an enjoyable atmosphere. So if you can get there early enough, this place is definitely worth finding!More

I live in Braintree, but don't get out much. My brother was visiting from Florida, and found this place on his 5 mile walk. I'm glad he did! I've been back twice since. I love breakfast, and there's lots of variety.
