Friendly service, pretty quiet low key atmosphere, and good food. The portions were real healthy and hot. The prices, given the current rate of inflation, were fair. The server was competent and friendly. This was a much better experience than we had at a larger...restaurant down the street two weeks ago.More

Our service was terrible. It started with the waiter griping to the hostess that he didn’t want our table, which became quite obvious. Bread arrived after our appetizer. He never asked if I wanted to order a drink after I wasn’t sure when asked 15...seconds after sitting down and I said I needed a minute. Then my water was never refilled (especially since it was the only drink I had). The calamari was WAY over cooked, ridiculously salty, and fishy tasting. My chicken parm was over cooked, tough and stringy. My husband’s risotto was a bad combo of flavors that didn’t blend (the scallop was nicely cooked though), my son’s pizza was so burned that it was almost inedible (the crust couldn’t be chewed it just cracked and pulverized into crumbs). It was by far the worst meal I’ve eaten in a very long time. I would’ve told the waiter but, as mentioned, he never showed up and certainly never asked how our dinner was. He assumed we didn’t want dessert (even though we were celebrating a birthday, as noted on our reservation) and brought our check before we even all stopped eating dinner. It was a terrible dinner experience overall and we won’t be returning, which won’t bother the waiter who didn’t care to begin with.More

We had dinner with three others and service was terrible and they essentially refused service for one member of the party with an allergy. Server and manager said kitchen was uncontrolled and so ingredients were everwhere.

Stopped here for dinner on a whim while in Beverly; it was nice out, so we sat in their tented outdoor area. It was nicely decorated, with ample fans to keep air circulating around the space. I had scallops with risotto, which was delicious. They...give generous portions, so we were able to bring some back to finish off the next day. Our server was attentive and polite. Would definitely eat there again when in Beverly.More

We dined at Toscano's on a busy Saturday evening. The menu includes many traditional Italian favorites, with an emphasis on pasta. The wait staff was professional, attentive and prompt. Our table shared appetizers, but the portions were so big that we all felt full before...the entrees arrived. My plate was close to overflowing with veal and pasta, so much so that the sauce nearly spilled on the table as the server placed it before me. Why? Why put enough food on one plate that would feed four? The food tasted fine, but was rather bland in seasoning. And there was the distraction of a baseball game playing on a huge TV set behind the bar. Hardly the kind of atmosphere for fine dining (which is what this restaurant appears to be aiming for).More

Disappointing. Like eating at Bertucci's when they were having an off day. When we came here last, food was very good, thus our return with our son. Something has happened to this restaurant and we won't be returning. If I am going to spend $50...on a meal I expect something special and that definitely did not happen this time. At best this should have been a $15 pp experience. The fried gnocchi was too salty and nothing special. The cesar chicken kale salad was fine but no different than Bertucci's. The mussels were too big and tasted like we were eating intestines (gross!). The ravioli and shrimp... two bites and I was done.. it was ravioli in alfredo sauce soup. Also, the veal was again nothing special..More

Based on Reviews my wife and I visited for our anniversary. Pleasant small restaurant with good service. Wedge salad and oysters were very good…not much challenge there. The pasta bolognese and chicken Parmesan, Italian basics, were both quite ordinary, as were the sauces. Both pastas...were overcooked and over sauced. Too many other better choices in the region to return.More

We like like low key simple - though a little expensive - Italian place in Beverly. The espresso martini, insanely good burrata, and fresh homemade pasta. Don’t miss the ridiculously rich tiramisu.

Top notch experience from start to finish. I've been dying to try Toscana after following them on Instagram the last few years. My husband and I finally made it last night and the restaurant did not disappoint. Very intimate and cozy atmosphere, which was perfect...for a blustery and wintery New England night in December. Started off with a perfectly executed Dirty Martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives and a draft Peroni in a chilled glass. We split the sausage vinegar peppers and potatoes that was honestly as good as my 100% Italian mother in law's (who also grew up in Italy) version of this dish, which is no easy feat. His name is escaping me but our server was a gem - perfect customer service. Bar manger and front of the house manager were also excellent. I did the shrimp fra diavolo and my husband the Kona rubbed rib eye with parmigiana truffle fries. A 10 for both meals. Shrimp and meat both perfectly cooked and meals were seasoned to perfection. We finished with a delectable tiramisu that was flavorful and delicate. We cannot wait to return. Perfect date night spot and a very satisfying meal.More

We have now been to Toscana twice over the past month and both experiences were praise-worthy. The food was very good...from the Italian wedge to the Veal Marsala. And the chocolate mousse was extraordinary. The ambiance is charming and intimate. The first time we ate...inside...small-ish but comfortable. The second we ate outside. The outside felt comfortable...not a makeshift set up as with some restaurants. I can certainly recommend both inside and outside for dining experiences. And shoutouts to our servers. Sophie on the first visit and Drake on the second. Both were top-notch in terms of service and very personable.More

The boscaiola and saltimbocca were excellent! Homemade pasta with each dish was superb! Mini cannoli was excellent choice for dessert and wine selection was top of the line. This is a fabulous restaurant dining outside or enjoying your meal choice inside. Servers were professional, friendly...and made you feel welcomed. Thank you all for making this such an enjoyable evening!More

Great meal in a nice spot. The scallop risotto was delicious and the portion was huge. Took half home for another dinner! Seating during pandemic was good: they had igloos set up outside!

My husband and I had dinner with my adult son here. We all Had different entrees and were all top notch. Quality and quantity which rarely happens. We had the calamari appetizer and it was the best we ever had. After dinner we were told...that we were the last customers as they were closing tomorrow due to the Coronavirus . Glad we able to have that last night, and wish all of the servers , cooks & hosts the best off luck through this mess. Excellent restaurant- delicious food and warm cozy setting. Def going back when in the area. LaurieMore

Amazing food. I had been here once before but couldn’t remember the name and it was driving me crazy because they had the best arranchini ever. I finally remembered the name and it lived up to my expectations i had from my previous visit. The...arranchini is a must have. The gnocchi and the vodka sauce pasta is delicious. Flourless Chocolate torte was a cherry on top. So delicious! Would go back in a heartbeat.More

Toscana Bar Italiano should be on anybody's short list for fine dining. The restaurant is somewhat small so make reservations. Sitting at the bar is a great experience. Mike the bartender is tops with cocktails and guaranteeing that you will have a memorable evening. The...food is Italian but not your basic fare. Sal the chef is one of the most creative people in the kitchen ever. For very fine dining, from appetizers to desserts, cocktails and wines you should try Toscana!More
