My wife and I have recently moved to Beverly from Belmont/Waltham. We've had some great dinging experiences out there. We did some looking online for our favorite types of food and I came across Chianti. After being excited about the menu and live music, I scheduled a reservation for 7pm on Monday the 25th of July, my birthday. Turned out... More

I've been here before and thought it was very good, but my recent experience was not so great. The food overall was disappointing. I had been so excited for yummy pasta and it was really lacking in flavor. The atmosphere also left a bit to be desired. The lounge had AC but the dining room didn't. The bar stools had... More

Been here a few times. Good go-to place. Meals are great, service is good and nice ambiance. Across from the theater for convenience. Excellent music too.

I have been to Chianti before and the food was good. Unfortunately, it has gone wayyyy downhill. I had gotten the eggplant paradiso and the sauce was flavorless, watery, and the eggplant was extremely bland. The server was nice...when we saw her...which wasn't much at all. I think she must've been working the whole bar area herself. Not good staffing... More

Yes we like thousand others catch a bite before seeing a show at The Cabot. The place is fun until you get your meal. Tasteless and no service except for the young runner Maybe go for a glass of wine next time.......Excellent location but could be better managed.....been in the food service business for 40 years

Poor service, tasteless meal but awesome show. It was date night so we thought we would get there early to have a drink at the bar. Host sat us at a table but after 10 minutes of no service we gave up and sat at the bar, were we were ignored for another 10 minutes. Finally got our cocktails which... More

I don't like to speak ill of a restaurant but....Italian sauces are not supposed to overpower the meat. They are supposed to deliver continuous flavor throughout. Not here! The Pollo Boscailo did not even deliver what the menu described. It was dark, lemony, without any plum tomatoes. Their bolognese was full of meat but not flavorful. The only sauce that... More

You can't beat the experience at Chianti's. GREAT jazz music scene and an excellent place to bring a large party or a romantic date for excellent food and drinks. Rich the owner is often there and a pleasure to talk with about what is new around the city or in the club. The bartenders Keith and Dawn are very knowledgeable... More

What a great spot to sit (or not sit) :) and listen to Jazz and the Blues! A fun place to meet a date, have fun with friends or head out solo! They had a nice wine selection and some fun Martini's.
