A fun place to meet for drinks and apps. Food is wonderful northern Italian. But room is noisy.... not impossible, but not easy for quiet conversation

We walked in at 6:30 on Sunday night without a reservation and we're very grateful to get a table for four. We started with bread and the olive appetizer. Two of us ordered the venison tenderloin and we're very pleased with our selection. The meat was moist tender and flavorful and the sweet potatoes and sauce complimented it perfectly. Two... More

My family celebrated Christmas Eve in this old firehouse complete with brass fireman's pole in the heart of downtown Belmont. The atmosphere was neighborly and unpretentious, thanks to the three Brothers de Magistris. It's clear from their warm reception, homestyle Italian menu and serious drinks from the bar that these guys love to entertain. There's an energy in the place... More

Superb food and a lively atmosphere. They treated us right on New Year's Eve--we never felt rushed or ignored despite the crowd. Angelo was congenial and fun, the perfect server for NYE. Our guests from New York City were quite impressed with the food. The baba a rhum was fantastic. Downsides were: noisy, due to the lack of sound deadening... More

the atmosphere is lively--but difficult to talk at this level of noise. The prices astronomical and the quality average (four scallops--lukewarm with cold lentils as side is at $33 barely eatable)! The wine not interesting and expensive too; the service unfriendly. I felt abused by the quality of the food, the prices, and the arrogance of the servers. It was an... More

Had the salmone al pistacchio, Atlantic salmon filet, horserasish-pistachio crust, cous-cous, pesto verde... thought the price was alittle high for the size of the portion. Busy night and we sat at the bar and our bartender meet our needs and kept us entertained.. Would go back. Other people in our party had the piccata Siciliana oven-roast chicken, lemon-caper sauce. I... More

This restaurant is located in a converted firehouse so there is ample exposed brick making it a warm setting, but unfortunately quite noisy. We were a large party, and the waiter assigned to us was incredibly patient and accommodating. He took time reciting the specials repeatedly, and ensured that each diner's food requirements were met. The arancini starters were very... More

Ok we are foodies ... so I will preface my review with that. The old firehouse setting is very cool. Exciting .. but loud! So if you like L O U D, you're good to go! Two of us had the rib eye. It was tasty — but if you know prime beef ... these steaks had the gristle (not... More

I have been here many many times and don't think I ever could say that I had a bad experience. If it's a weekend night, you need reservations unless you want to take your chances. I also sometimes sit at the bar but those seats are first come first served. I never used to eat bread but since coming to... More

Came here for our anniversary dinner after been wanting to dine here for awhile now. It was definitely worth the wait! Arrived to a complimentary champagne toast on our table which was a great surprise! We shared the Arancini, tomato and burrata salad, and gnocchi with braised rabbit. All were excellent with the Arancini being the highlight with spicy cheesy... More
