My husband and I went to the Dolphin last Sunday night and were pleasantly surprised. It was very busy, but we managed to be seated in about 10 minutes. The waitresses were slammed, but as attentive as possible. Cheese and crackers were provided. A separate water person made sure our water glasses remained filled and dishes were promptly cleared. This was the second time my wife and I went to the Dolphin. Both times the food was delicious. Atmosphere is quaint and comfortable. Wait-staff is AWESOME ! Highly recommend the scallop casserole ( my dinner) and the salmon with a pesto/Panko crust( my wife's). Both were cooked to perfection

When I tell you I have been going to the Dolphin for 50 years you know I like it and feel comfortable there. The food is always good and fresh. The drinks are generous and well prepared. The atmosphere is friendly and homey. Lastly, the prices are reasonable.

On my visit to cape cod, I decided to stop for a quick lunch, the restaurant is really nice, the dining room is heavily decorated but nice.. Waiter really nice and helpful, Rachel suggested the lobster roll which I ordered and it was a win. Delicious food, nice ambiance, I definitely recommend.

Got a recommendation from the unique clothing store across the street (Oz). Marty the bartender welcomed us and have us the history of the restaurant. She spent time and reviewed all of her recommendations that were all spot on. Stuffed Quahogs were hearty and delicious. Clam chowder award winning. Fried oysters and macadamia crusted swordfish absolutely delicious. John the owner... More

We dined at the Dolphin for lunch. It was relaxing and very leisure. There were great luncheon specials to choose from all very well priced. The fish is always fresh and delicious, and the homemade soup is worth the trip. A very refined Cape Cod atmosphere with plenty of sunlight and a fireplace to warm you on cool days....This restaurant... More

This is a lovely restaurant and everything about it was excellent. Just perfect in every way. Plenty of parking, tasteful decor, awesome waitstaff, great menu and the food was absolutely amazing. Has to be one of the top restaurants on the Cape for sure. A total winner!

We had passed this place by for years because of what appeared to be non-existent parking in the center of Barnstable village. Glad we made it. We arrived during the gap between lunch and dinner service, but the waitress seated us and made us comfortable with menus and cracker & dip plate. The décor is quaint, with much wood, window... Stopped in for an early dinner and drinks before a show. The restaurant is quaint, small and well decorated with lots of privacy. Perfect for conversation and a nice meal. I had a lettuce wedge salad followed by veal piccata with asparagus. My wife had a seafood stew. Both meals were very fresh and flavorful. Prices were reasonable. The wine... More
