Lunch here monthly and always very pleased at great food and friendly staff. Dinner was total opposite. Overcooked food, snarly waitress. Won't be back for dinner.

I'm staying in Barnstable for awhile and wanted to check out this year-round restaurant that caters to locals. Lots of seafood on the menu! Apparently they do a different mussels dish daily, so I chose the special on the day I went. Truly excellent. And can't beat their dessert speciality - amaretto bread pudding. I'll be back!

Had the three grandkids for lunch after a nice day at the museum in Brewster. We all had a great meal and the service was great.

The Dolphin Restaurant in Barnstable has been off my Harwich radar, because of my erroneous thinking “it’s too far away”. Well, it is not, but it took a Cape Cod Daily Deal to finally get me there with my daughter (Stefanie) and son-in-law (Bob). Surprise of surprises – it is a very nice restaurant with a comfortable setting/atmosphere, friendly staff,... More

The prime rib was like eating shoe leather and the baked scrod was tasteless. The overall service was slow . We were extremely dissatisfied and won't be heading back !

Consistently good food. Stick to any of the seafood options and you'll walk away happy. I especially like their version of oysters Rockefeller. Lively bar area generally packed with local color.

We visited this restaraunt at New Eve.Seems popular with locals (good sign), good seafood (we tried their specials - scallops in lobster sauce and casserole from local fish). Good choice of wine. Nice place to go, if you at Barnstable, Cape Cod, typical New England food, fresh and also nice service, antique house, great warm atmosphere.

We had a late lunch and were looking for something small but satisfying to eat. Having never been here before I was pleased to see that they had a crock of french onion soup. It was perfect to hit the spot on a cold, dreary and rainy day. Our waitress came almost as soon as we were seated and asked... More

The staff were great. Friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice and warm. The French Onion Gratinee was delicious. The grilled cheese was good, but could have done with more seasoning. The crab cakes had good flavor, but were dry.

Food is good typical New England fare. Service, especially Penny at the bar , is terrific. Homey atmosphere in an antique building. Convivial chatter at the local centric bar.
