Went there on a referral from a friend. Was told the view was outstanding, especially at sunset, and the food was good. She didn't comment on the service, so I assumed it would be good. The view was great and the food was okay, nothing spectacular. However, our waitress had an attitude. She was unfriendly, and grumpy. When we asked... More

Stopped for a late lunch and despite a large influx of people coming in after whale watching the staff was friendly and efficient. Kitchen kept up with the orders too. Chowder was very good, salads fresh.

we had a large party of 16; requested a water view for the sunset but when we got there it wasn't available....misunderstanding..actually it turned out better we didn't sit in the covered porch area...people were wearing sunglasses and it would have been too hot....very good service...friendly staff....large menu selection for children and adults

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit for lunch. We asked for a seat outside and we were not disappointed. Stunning views so a perfect setting for lunch. We were all pleased with our food and the efficient and friendly service, our waitress Nicole was pleasant and ensured we were well taken care of. We would return here again.

We've just returned from a vacation to Cape Cod and sadly our dinner at the Mattakesse Wharf was the worst of the trip. By no means a disaster but the food was just not up to the normal standards I've experienced in the US. An example would be the vegetables which were either from a tin or over cooked. Maybe... More

We were 2 couples spending a weekend on Cape Cod. I offered to find us a nice restaurant for dinner. I was hoping to find a place overlooking the water, I had a picture in my mind of a beautiful sunset and a delicious dinner. To my surprise, it is quite hard to find such a restaurant that will take... More

Food quality: Crab cakes and fish seemed pre-frozen Fish and chips were tasteless despite attempts to improve with lemon and malt vinegar. Pleasant locatiion. Go there for a martini.

We are the owners of the Lamb and Lion Inn, a property located just 2 miles from beautiful Barnstable Harbor. As innkeepers, our job is to rock our guest's world. We act as concierges and trip planners. For 17 years we have been sending our guests to Mattakeese Wharf, and I will admit, as it is in most tourist destinations--when... More

Description
Mattakeese Wharf is a seasonal waterfront restaurant on Cape Cod, MA since 1968. We serve fresh, local seafood including lobsters, steaks, chicken, and some Italian specialties. There is no better romantic sunset view while dining on the Cape than here at Mattakeese Wharf. See the sunset slideshow on our website with many photos contributed by diners. We are open late April through mid October. Mattakeese Wharf is located next to a whale watching boat so we are a natural destination after your day on the water with the whales. We offer a full bar and live entertainment during the summer season... a great place to watch the Sox games! We serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week plus Brunch on Sundays. We are open from 11:30am until well into the evening.... depending on how busy we are, roughly 10-11pm.
