Red Hot and Blue is a full-service, casual-themed restaurant chain and caterer featuring delicious award-winning ribs, Memphis-style barbeque, smoked wings, and Southern sides and desserts. The atmosphere is steeped in legendary and contemporary blues music and delivers a large dose of Southern hospitality in a fun and entertaining dining environment. History: The first Red Hot and Blue restaurant opened in Arlington, Virginia in 1988, started by Lee Atwater, Don Sundquist and friends. Don Sundquist was from Memphis and served in the House of Representatives and as governor of Tennessee. The Memphis-style barbeque chain celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2013 by partnering with a charitable organization at 24 different restaurant locations. The yearlong celebration culminated in the presentation of thousands of dollars in donations to local charities. The Name: The name, "Red Hot and Blue" is taken from the title of D.J. Dewey Phillip's radio show that that aired on WHBQ-AM in Memphis, Tennessee in the 1950s. Great sweet tea

The best sweet tea around! I'm from Georgia and it is impossible to find decent sweet tea in Maryland...except at this place. Burgers are great and cooked to order.

I've been going here for years. It's a nice pitstop (get the pun?) on the way home after having spent the day sightseeing in DC. For me, it's easier to access than the original in Arlington, Love the added BBQ flavors and the variety of choices that can be done with all the meats. My wife loves the Brunswick stew... More

my wife and I ordered a take out dinner from here since we were staying across the street at holiday Inn express...food was excellent, portions could have been bigger, but I would definitely recommend this place for a delicious meal!

My family and I wanted BBQ for dinner, so we decided to get take out from Red Hot and Blue. Overall the food was good, but nothing amazing. I've had their food before and this time it was just ok, not amazing.

I and my family are big fans of BBQ and Red, Hot and Blue as a chain is one of our favorites. Traveling back from vacation we skipped several local BBQ places in favor of RH&B. The food was very good as it always is. I had the dry rub ribs and they were really good, specially the rub they... More

We scheduled a reservation with the "manager" and when our group arrived, they told us that they had given our reservation to another party! We were 10 minutes early for our scheduled reservation, and the party that was already seated were being served drinks and appetizers. They told us it would be a 20 min wait to seat us, WRONG,...
