First of all, without even getting into the restaurant, the scenery going up to the restaurant is magnificent. Just all of that green grass in the country surrounded by the geese and ducks is something that will make you feel great. Now as far as the restaurant goes, the food was great. They bring out a number of appetizers and... More

Maybe some entrees are great. But ours was not. I had fried shrimp that looked and tasted like the pre packaged pre frozen and heavily breaded commercial style. Not home made i can tell you that. The pork chops were very bland. Sides were good but just basic and bland. The cottage cheese was great. Apple butter and peaches very... More

The first things they bring out are cottage cheese, cole slaw, sliced beets, peaches, apple butter, rolls and what we call sugar pills (roll dough covered in sugar). Then they follow-up with the entrees and vegetables. The corn, green beans and peaches are definitely from a can. The cottage cheese and cole slaw were very good as well as the... More

The entrees are all wonderful, especially the crab cakes and fried shrimp. I do wish they would be more creative with vegetables. Anyone can dump grean beans and corn and peaches out of a can. The cottage cheese and apple butter is a nice addition and the French fries are good. It is not an inexpensive place to eat so... More

We went here on a Saturday afternoon in April and had a reservation beforehand since our party was pretty large (15). The entire wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property itself is also very beautiful. Our kids had a great time taking pictures with some of the ducks that are on the property after dinner. The food itself... More

Our Happy on Hooves guide told us about this gem. Loved the location - very scenic & the family style eating (meaning you don't order anything but your entree & they bring the rest) was fun. The fried chicken was so wonderful!

Our families go-to place for any special occasion. Diners choose their meat (roast beef bigger than the plate, fried chicken that is both moist and crunchy, crab cakes that are so good that you will have a hard time calling anything else a crab cake, and more) and then everything else is family-style: it is all good!

My family, hubby and I enjoyed a great seafood dinner on Good Friday. Over the years we have enjoyed the Crab cakes at Friendly Farms, they did not disappoint, the Crabs Cakes, shrimp and fish were all delicious. The side dishes served family style are delicious too. You do not leave hungry after eating here. The service was great, I... More

If you want to enjoy food served family style this is the place to go. The offer numerous choices from beef to seafood. You order your entree and then when seated you first receive beets, cole slaw, cottage cheese, apple butter and fantastic sugar rolls. With our entree you get french fries, green beans and corn. A scoop of ice... More
