We had the six course meal with the five course wine pairing. The server was excellent and had great knowledge of the menu and each of the wines paired. The choices on the course menu was varied for the pallet. The restaurant's setting and decor was excellent for an 1800s mansion. Each course was gear towards the farm to table... More

We visit the Antrim House, where the Smokehouse Restaurant is located on our way to OBX this year. We had heard that the food was superb at this place and the hype was well deserved. We had a 5 course chefs menu with wine flights. The food was superb. The wine flights carefully thought out and superlative in quality. Though... More

The food was well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and delicious. The wine selection is impressive, which includes a selection of wines from the Saint-Émilion region of France, my absolute favorite. The ambiance provides for a cozy and intimate experience. My wife and I plan on dining here again when we stay in the area.

We stayed at the Antrim 1844 for two nights and ate at the Smokehouse Restaurant one night. Unfortunately we were not actually in the "smokehouse" portion of the restaurant. Since there were only 4 couples there the night we ate, they sat us upstairs in another room overlooking the gardens and a view of the sunset So we traded the... More

We had a generous gift certificate from the owners as we did some fence work for them. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday her with a dinner. I love the atmosphere here. So classic and beautiful. The wait staff was attentive but not obtrusive. The food was delicious. I posted a photo of my grilled shrimp appetizer. The Antrim is... More

Dinner at The Antrim 1844 Smokehouse restaurant is an average evening at best, considering the quality of the food, and the price coming out at about $110 per person, including a glass of unnamed "house" wine per person and gratuity. Chef came to our table at the end of the 3 hour meal, to kindly ask if we had enjoyed... More

This is a dining experience! You are immediately greeted in the foyer of this beautiful Antebellum home where you can partake in the drink of choice and passed hors d'oeuvres while you wait to be seated. Once seated, you'll find your menu has been personalized and signed by the chef (nice touch, especially for a special celebration). They offer a... More

The Antrim is an amazing experience. The grounds and house are beautiful. Seating for the prix fixe meal is preceded by appetizers in the house's large sitting room. The Antrim has an unbelievable wine cellar and the food is outstanding. Coupled with the amazing smokehouse dining room and live piano music in the background, you couldn't ask for more!
