If you are looking for a place with lots of charm and unique character as well as excellent food, check out the restored train station called Baldwin station. The food is a little pricy but well worth it. You definitely get what you paid for. Great place to celebrate special occasions like a birthday, or like in our case, a... More

We've been here several times. Nice food, atmosphere and service. A bit on the pricey side; but, we felt it was worth it.

Went here for a birthday lunch treat. Good and ample food in a very quaint, well restored, railroad station environment. Service was first class. The passing of a freight train was an added bonus.

So we headed over to Sykesville specifically to go to this old train depot restaurant and were greeted with a sign on the door explaining they were closed for a private event. Had looked at their website prior to driving over there, and didn't see that listed, but maybe I just missed it. We were bummed- not end of the... More

Had a very nice lunch there outside, overlooking the railway track and surrounding countryside. Definitely worth visting.

Being 90 minutes from our home but 5 minutes from our son/daughter in law, we dine here when visiting. The menu is chef quality entrees, pricey and no extras. I had the pork tenderloin on a bed of mashed potatoes & broccoli. My partner had the salmon on a bed of spicey Mexican rice. Both entrees were tasty, chef expert... More

Not the building. The building is an old train station where you can actually sit beside a train track and expect trains to go by!! It is a lovely, cozy atmosphere with hard wood floors that creak, quaint little romantic dining rooms and comfortable "Scotch" bar as you walk in the door. The owner, on the other hand, has a... We arrived there around 5:30 on a very hot evening. We were told that all tables were reserved so we decided to eat at the bar. Food was good but service was very slow. The three of us had the mushroom soup, scallop and mussels appetizers and an hamburger. Everything was tasty. While we were eating, a group came in... More

We arrived about 3:45pm and they wouldn't take a food order until kitchen opened at 4:00pm. It was worth the wait. We had "small plates" of chicken scallopini, risotto, and broccoli. We opted for Irish Coffee for dessert. The portion size was just perfect, the service attentive, True, we were the only ones in the restaurant except for a few... More

So glad that this old train station has been restored rather than torn down! We stopped for lunch and sat inside, however there is a lovely outdoor seating area. The food was good and we enjoyed the overall experience.
