Shortly after noon and the place was fairly empty. The food was great, but the service is in dire need of improvement. Wait staff needs to greet customers, which did not happen, and it was several minutes before we were even noticed. Food needs to be served directly to each person, no passed in front of others. Customer service needs to improve, or patrons will go elsewhere.

Came here with a friend, both craving some Lazagna at a restaurant we had not tried before. We left disappointed.
While we appreciated the generous portion sizes, the meals were dry and lukewarm at best; garlic bread was bland.
Ambience was worn. Service was thoughtless. Bathrooms were without soap.

This place is not going to win ambience awards, but is very affordable and has genuinely good food. Pizza is done well (especially the white pizza). Another thing they do well is the eggplant parmesan. Servings are generous. Good value for your money.

Came here for lunch and ordered a nicoise salad and pizza. The salad came out and everything on it was obviously canned. The potatoes, tuna, anchovies, cauliflower, etc. For 12€, we sent it back as it was inedible. The man taking our order became aggravated when it came to paying the bill. He physically ripped the credit card out of my husbands hand when we asked him if he was going to remove the salad from the bill. There was a language barrier but you can tell this server was taking it personal that we did not like the salad. He raised his voice and was aggressive as we tried to pay. I would definitely not recommend this spot. There are dozens of other Italian restaurants next door with better food and service.

We often forget that all the food we eat eventually ends up in the toilet. Sole D'Italia makes it easy to remember as that's where their food belongs.
From soggy nachos, to crab soup without crab, to a sandwich with barely more than bread, this is hands-down, the worst delivery I've ever had. Avoid at all costs.

The crust of the white pizza was over cooked. I ordered the white pizza with ground beef. My pizza had way too much black pepper on it. You would think that would be a seasoning that an individual eating the pizza would add if needed. I just happen to hate pepper

Ordered pizza and salad over the phone for carry out. Arrived 35 minutes later only to be told they “just turned the ovens on.” They hadn’t even started the order. I sat for another 40 minutes waiting. Had I known when I called, I would have ordered elsewhere. There are plenty of places nearby that are better. This place is obviously under new management and they are clueless!

So management has changed and it’s sad because the food quality & customer service has suffered. I had to come in-person to order because they were having issues with their phone. It took 7 minutes for the cashier to enter my order and I had to wait 40 minutes in-store for my order. They rushed the cook on the pizza which left it extremely soggy and it was falling apart. I paid $60 for 2 large pizzas which was ridiculous. I had no idea they raised their prices so much because they do not have a menu with prices or screen showing prices either. Not to mention, they changed their ground sausage topping to regular sausage pieces (not a fan of it). Lastly, the new owners/managers just sat around and did not offer help or step in to get orders completed in a timely manager. I can’t tell if they want this to be a lounge or club or what but the decor and seating inside the store looks cheap and doesn’t have an effective layout. This is not a restaurant you can comfortably dine-in at or even bring your kids to sit and eat. More importantly, the kitchen and bathrooms are extremely dirty and even the workers have poor hygiene. I really wanted to give them a chance but they fell short in every category. I will not be ordering delivery or going in-person to this location again. It’s no longer Sole d’Italia.

We get take-out from here about once a month, because it's the only pizza my youngest son will eat. (To put this into perspective, he thinks fast food is delightful.) We have to get food from other restaurants for the rest of the family, because the food here is just awful. We have also eaten in, but the place is just dirty. If you like bars, though, there's a hopping pub attached - which might explain how the restaurant stays in business.
The pizza tastes like dishwater and the Italian 'dishes' are worse than cafeteria food. We have tried a LOT of it, because of my youngest son, but have always been disappointed. We used to have snail mail coupons for the pizza but they stopped coming - AND the prices went up. This is the most expensive pizza around, and by far the worst. If we have to eat it, at least it should be cheap.

I grew up down the street from this place and have fond memories. Being able to still go to this restaurant as an adult allows me to reminisce while enjoying their great menu. Went here recently for business meeting. They asked to visit a local restaurant and couldn't have thought of a better place. It's not the fanciest but it has a cozy feeling and the staff are absolutely wonderful and friendly.

For our Friday Night - Pizza Night -- we're expanding our selections....
- we've done the Kirklands (CostCo) frozen, ready-to-bake from CostCo, Papa John's, Pizzza Hut, Domino's, Armand's, etc...
And this would be our second order from our "neighborhood pizzeria" -- unfortunately, the last time it got 2 out of 5 stars.
This time we did a created your own combo - it was great to have red, green and yellow peppers. Very nice! Most places you get green and that's it.
Plenty of meat this time, and the dough and crust were near perfect.
We did take-away / carry-out this time, and the resetaurant was hoping - quite busy.
Would recommend: We'll see after third time
Would re-patronize: Yes
Note to management: maintain quality standards like you did this past time.

Popped into Papa Nick's for a quick beer on my way home. It was cold and delicious, and the crowd was jumpin' on a chilly Thursday night. The price was right, the service was friendly, and I left satisfied.

If you want real Italian food from a locally owned and managed family this is the best place I've found in Maryland. Great Italian dinners and fantastic pizza. They have specials every weeknight that are real bargains including 2 for 1 pizza on Tuesnights.
They also have fantastic wings and other good bar food. Lastly they do a fantastic job catering with an extensive menu.
Prices are reasonable.

I have had the pizza on numerous occasions and it is top-notch. Tuesday it is half price and the place is packed. Bring cash or get it from the ATM on site to pay on Tues.
I also have had the Lasagna Special and they have some of the best I have ever had. I get it with marinara, but my brother had the meat version and he wanted to return the next week. The special comes with salad and garlic bread for 12 bucks. It feeds me for three days it is so big. They have very decent wings too.
Atmosphere here is casual, counter service and they either call your number or bring it to you depending on the crowd.
