Have now had a couple of meals from Lee’s and each dish is consistent. Tasty and satisfied the taste for chinese.

Had a good meal at Lee’s kitchen. It’s carry out only. The pepper beef was very good. The braised bean curd not bad. The spring roll was only ok.
I love this place for its fresh food. They have a healthy choice menu that comes with brown rice and smaller portions that I like too. I wish they had more choices on that menu but still find it my “go to” Chinese take out.
For those of you who do not know, Mr. Lee opened in Layhill over 40 years ago as a TAKE OUT ONLY. On Fridays it was Mr Lee’s or Pizza Oven in Olney ( no longer there, best pizza ever) . My go to is...Chicken Lo Mein but beef and broccoli is yummy too. I miss seeing Mr Lee behind the counter, but the shop they have now is the original location just without the wooden floor. I actually like carry out better than when it was full service. The other so called Chinese restaurants in the area can’t compare toMr. Lee’s Kitchen.More
Great place to go for a quick Chinese meal. It's carry out only now. Great tasting and moderate prices. One of the best Chinese restaurants in the Aspen Hill / Layhill area.
Reasonably priced and delicious. I like that they have brown rice too. I love the dumplings and they don’t need to be fried to be tasty. Fish dishes are good too.
I went in here because it was close to where I was shopping. Also, I hadn't been here in the last 20 years, and I was curious to see if it had changed. (It had changed...but not for the better.) This is strictly a takeout...restaurant. I ordered one thing: Happy Family. It was one of the more expensive items on the menu. Happy Family consists mainly of mixed vegetables (mostly broccoli) in a sauce with a little bit of shrimp, scallops, chicken, and beef. In all honesty, the broccoli took up at least 75% of the total volume of the order. It was easy to explain this: I do most of the family shopping and I know that broccoli was the cheapest ingredient in the entire dish. Well, there were a few carrots, and they are very inexpensive also. The dish was nearly tasteless, The size of the order was acceptable, but I sure would have liked to have seen more meat and seafood. The dish also came with white rice which was more than adequate. The place appeared to be clean and the woman behind the counter was very nice. I think I might give it another try in about 20 more years.More
Lee's Kitchen used to be my go-to place for Chinese, back when they had a dine-in restaurant and actually tried to please their customers. I'm not sure what happened - if there's new management after they went to Take Out Only - but this place...is just AWFUL now. We tried to keep liking them. But the food got saltier AND blander. The meat got disgustingly chewy. Noodles are all stuck together. The service got less friendly. The prices went UP. We have had NO good experiences at Lee's in the past few YEARS. The last time I called to place an order, I asked a quick question that the Lee's rep didn't answer. "Some we do, some we don't," he said. "Call me back later honey." Then he HUNG UP ON ME. I used to have Lee's on speed dial. Now, I will never call them again. Vegetable Garden in Leisure World is great, as is Hunan Delight in Olney. There's no reason to subject myself to Lee's anymore.More
Hot and Sour soup okay. Crispy noodles that come with it were stale. Orange Chicken tasteless. Green beans were blah. No spice to them. Fortune cookie was great once I got it out of the package Food was not good a year ago when we...went and I will say they are consistent. Not going back. Not sure how they stay in business.More
The. Owners shut down the restaurant and just do take out. No complaints from me. Food is fresh, with reasonable sized portions. People like the wings. I opt for Fish or veggies.
Ordered won ton soup and pork lo mein. Miss this as an eatin restaurant. Take out is good food is plentiful
I find that more and more, it is hard to find a really good Chinese restaurant. There is a bland sameness to most of them now that makes me suspect that most of the sauces are canned, and the vegetables and maybe even the rolls...are frozen. I wish I could say that Lee's is an exception, but we have experienced mostly mediocre, and even some very poor, Chinese cuisine at this place. I find the Orange Chicken acceptable, and my husband likes the Szechuan Shrimp, but both are marred by cloyingly sweet sauces that make them taste almost more like a dessert than a dinner entre. The prices are fairly good, and because it is close by, we continue to frequent it. The service is pretty friendly, but the kitchen gets busy often. They have recently closed their dining room and are now only carry-out. That's a shame because it was a cozy, pretty space, if somewhat dated.More

Consistently good food and service. The waitstaff is attentive and knowledgeable. The good is delivered quickly and as ordered. You can customize the heat level and ingredients. We are "regulars"!
Love this place! Has the best Peking duck in the area by far! No fat and delish!! We tried their shrimp pad thai also and it was so good and heats well the next day!
