Ma's Kettle looks like it's from the 70s - actually I believe it is from the 70s. The restaurant is only open during the middle of the day but you can drink at the bar and eat at the tables. It's also right in the middle of Savage. Most people go to the historic mill and bypass this place so... More

Our first meal here was a lunch. My wife and I each had a turkey panini which came with a tossed salad for $10.50. The sandwich was great. The panini was stuffed with so much turkey that we each took half home for another meal. My wife had homemade peach pie which she loved and I had a brownie which... More

I eat here a lot for lunch since its not far from work. Nice homey atmosphere that is welcoming. Always get great service from the staff. I've ordered the steak medallions a few times, the lasagna too as both are excellent. The desserts are really good and home made. Enjoyable place!

This local restaurant is very quaint and from the outside you would not think that the place was so welcoming and served home cooked meals. The menu offered numerous choices from soup to salad to sandwiches. Don't judge a book by its cover and always stop in after shopping!!

This is a small authentic place with a warm and homespun atmosphere. The service was excellent. It was a busy lunch rush but my two sons and I were served quickly and with much care by the two servers on the floor that day. The barbecue sandwich was delicious as was the philly cheese steak. We also ordered fries and... More

I went there a few years ago after a school event to celebrate and I don't even remember what I ordered but I didn't eat it and got sick later that day but all my friends seemed to like it.

This is one of "those" places that you don't think exist anymore in the chain-driven culture of the US. This should about sum it all up... My $7.99 pork BBQ sandwich - which was awesome - was prepared and served by Ma. THE Ma. The same Ma who has been doing this for 40 years. Maryann is her real name... More

I dined at this restaurant twice so, I could give it a good try out. I very much liked it both times. The service was outstanding. I ate at the bar and, the lady working the bar was always prompt to bring my food or refill my glass with soda. Food wise, the soups were outstanding. A cup of soup... More

First of all, Ma's is only open from 11am to 2 pm so plan accordingly! The food here is home cooked goodness of the freshest kind. From home made hot potato chips to chicken fried steak and the best meatloaf around, you won't find a better meal for the price.
