We were barely greeted and then informed our reservation for outdoor seating wasn’t available. We watched in horror as a 102 year old diner with a walker was forced (over the objections of his companion) by staff to move tables outside mid-meal to make room...for another (seemingly favored) party. Patrons and staff were yelling. A couple arriving after us also wanted to sit outside and after being told there was no room, they switched to speaking in Greek and were given a reserved table for four outside. We left without being seated. We used to dine here before moving overseas. This was our first - and last - time back since.More

Once you have insulted yoir customers while seating ….,,it is hard to go down hill from there…….but this restaurant did. It was like sitting on a runway, packed, loud and stressful. Took forever to get cold, tasteless food. There are lots of other places to...relax and get good food. I would stay away!More

Family dinner last night and as always - the service, good and ambiance was great. The mezze (Tarama spread, calamari, Greek village salad), entrees (bronzino, lamb chops, souflaki, shrimp and feta) and desserts were fantastic as always. There's a reason Greek-Am families enjoy Mykonos for...special events.More

Good food but BEWARE of a undisclosed service charge. Food deserves a 3 star but didn't notice until after we left that they had added a $9.24 service charge to our $231.55 bill for 4 people. This was separate from the food and liquor tax....I see now in one of the other reviews that they charged a fee if you're using a credit card for payment. I did not see anything on the menu about a service charge or the waiter mentioning it. Might be prudent to check with your waiter before paying if they add a service charge. No problem doing so if they had it documented or mentioned it when getting the bill and then had the option to pay in cash.More

My girlfriend and I visited Mykonos Grill for the first time this evening. They participate in Restaurant.com, so I purchased a certificate and attempted to order carry-out with it. The hostess took my order and we showed her that we had a dining certificate to...redeem. She acknowledged and sent our order to the back. After waiting about 20 minutes, it was time to pay. A short man with a beard and dark hair came by and told the hostess just to write down the certificate number. A while later, he came by again, suddenly surprised that were ordering carry-out and said that the certificate is not valid on carry-out orders. Why would we be ordering and paying our check with the hostess if we were seated at a table? He became agitated when I pointed out the terms of the certificate and read them. It says, "valid at this restaurant only," but it does not say "dine-in only," and we were at the restaurant (not purchasing via Grubhub or some other service). He told me that he and his co-worker had been working at the restaurant for many years and that they know what the certificate says. Apparently they know what it says, but don’t understand what it means. With the exception of the hostess, this is the rudest restaurant staff I’ve encountered in years. We left and ate somewhere else. We will not recommend this restaurant to anyone, for any reason, ever.More

One of our favorites - was there last week right after the restrictions were lifted and it was great. And the Wash Post review had just come out saying it's one of the Top 7 Restaurants to visit in the DMV so it was packed....Food was amazing as always and when we want to have true Greek food this is where we go - whether for Easter, special birthdays or for nights out. Fantastic appetizers, the best bread (together with Medium Rare) and excellent entrees. The owner Angelo was helping with the wait staff because of the issue with the unemployment benefits giving waiters a disincentive to working. Hope MD follows other states and ends the restaurant-harming mega unemployment checks. Need more waiters there and across the DMV. Will be going back next week - Opa!More

A family friend introduced us to this restaurant. I had driven by it many times and not realized it was a gem in Rockville, MD. The vegetarian platter is my go-to dish, and I thoroughly enjoy it each time I get it. The baklava is...also very good. Mykonos Grill is a keeper.More

I had learned of this place during the pandemic and had gotten take out many times. I finally took my family to eat at the restaurant and as I expected, the food was even more amazing freshly served at the restaurant. We had the grilled...octopus which continues to be so tender and flavorful. Finally got to try the Saganaki- flame, pan fried cheese- out of this world. Then we had two of the specials. Fresh seafood- large sized mussles and squid and shrimp and scallops. And so many in one dish! All of it was juicy, so flavorful, and fresh. Dining there is a million times better than the take out experience (and that was already pretty great).More

Outstanding Greek food and wonderful service experience. The Greek taverna salad was amazing and lamb chops some of the best we have ever had. We will definitely go back again and again.

We've dined here many times over the years. Taken friends and family there. The food is always good. But today the customer service was appalling. We ordered and paid over the phone, but when I arrived to pick up I discovered one of the orders...was wrong. That order was supposed to have fries, but the guy who took the order swore we said rice. Instead of admitting he had misheard, he became belligerent, and rudely remarked "we are not Chinese, we don't serve fried rice". As if to imply I didn't know the difference. For a restaurant that has photos of Presidents Obama and Biden in the front you would think they'd be more careful about customers' perceptions. If I didn't know better I'd suspect it was because I was the only Black person in the room. But, we've dined there many times, and they're usually more professional. Frankly you expect more of a restaurant in Montgomery County that typically gets such good reviews.More

My sister purchased me a gift card from Mykonos Grill in Feb 2020. Due to COVID we did not use the gift card but finally decided to get a takeout order this month in Nov 2020. We were shocked to find out the $50 gift...card was invalid and they did not honor it. My sister paid cash for it so we had no way of proving it but apparently someone took the $50 and never validated the card. Furthermore they told me that they deduct $2.00 per month that it is not used. The back of the card states that is true but after 12 months have elapsed which was not case. The card has $0 value now so I would not recommend this restaurant's gift card to anyone.More

This is the only Greek restaurant in the area that is the least bit upscale and has a larger menu than most of the others. Anyway we did takeout. The saganaki flamed cheese was cooler than it is supposed to be when we got home...(certainly not their fault, it sat before we got there and while we drove home) but tasted good room temperature. The lamb shank/orzo was nicely spiced and hot vegie platter good variety, plus they included a very large piece of bread we didn't expect. Anyway everything was pretty good, we'd definitely go again.More

A true hidden treasure in congressional mall. The best Greek food & ambience anyone can ask for on a lovely sunny day. We sat outside in the vine draped patio, surrounded by the warm sun & soft tunes of Greek music. Our waiter, Stephan, was...outstanding. His recommendations were spot on. The octopus was grilled to perfection, soft & succulent, not charred like most other restaurants. The taramasalata, which we yearned for, was simply delicious, served with delicious oil drizzled grilled pita. The Santorini fava is truly the one of the House specialties. The fish was perfectly seasoned & grilled with matching sides of potatoes & string beans. Stephan deboned it like a pro. The honey walnut cake & galatoborakia were the grand finale of a very memorable meal after a long hiatus. We will definitely be back. Thank you Mykonos staff for making us so welcome in your warm Mediterranean enclave.More

So glad to be back at our favorite restaurant, Mykonos. How lovely to sit outside, in the dappled sunshine, under the vine covered canopy, and eat wonderful Greek food, as only Mykonos can make it. Delicious. The staff and owner came and talked to us...to tell us about all the steps they are taking to guarantee our safety, so that we don’t have to worry. They are regularly checking the temperatures of their staff and delivery people, getting face masks for everyone, taking care not to touch items that we might also touch, the list goes on. Their care and knowledge was very evident. We really felt very safe. We really loved being back.More
