After at least 30+ years this restaurant has gone out of business. Must have been a combination of aging ownership and a high lease increase. Too bad was a fine dining experience for many years.

I have eaten at Bengarong's for well over 15 years and use to consider it the best Thai restaurant in the Bethesda-Rockville area. I also use to highly recommended it to friends..... not any more, the restaurant called Bengaron is only a ghost from its past. Things have unfortunately changed for the worse at Bengaron. The cocktails are made from... More

It is a good restaurant but very average. The food is good not great. Plenty of parking. Service is fine. Not too many people know about this place.

The green chicken curry was good, not excellent. Papaya salad was overdressed. Busboy's cologne overwhelmed.

Food was just bad. We could not get what our appetizers were made of. Duck was bad too, pieces on the plate were swimming in the liquid fat. Pad Thai did smell bad and was particularly tasteless. Never again, avoid the place.

we enjoy having family dinner here for almost two decades now. from deep fried whole fish to fried rice crabmeat to panang to som tum (green papaya salad) and larb gai, all have been delicious to our liking. also enjoy some fried banana and mango with sweet sticky rice. friendly service in a comfortable dining atmosphere.

Over the years this neighborhood Thai has stood the test of time - it is reliably good. You will get a good meal in a pleasant setting with decent service and free parking.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Rockville, and I believe one of the best in the DC area. There are lots of choices for Thai food in Rockville alone, plus Silver Spring, Bethesda, and plenty in Virginia. I have tried several, and keep returning to Benjarong. The interior space is one of the nicest around. Comfortable, not too noisy,... More

Great food, Thai décor and courteous service combine to make this a fine dining experience. Try it, you'll like it.
