The owner and his wife (the Courtney’s) have been cooking-up and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week for what seems like an eternity. She cooks - He serves! We thoroughly enjoyed fresh broiled rockfish, perfect and meaty soft crabs and a screaming delicious bowl of vegetable crab soup all caught that same morning. Two generous salads on the side and we were smiling!
Nothing fancy mind you but it’s a step back in time we’ll worth a visit.

I've reviewed this place 6 years ago when we were in the area and it hasn't changed. Yes the place looks like a dump and the services slow, but every order is cooked per order. The husband, wife and sometimes daughter are the people who are cooking and serving. My wife had the stuffed rockfish which she said was absolutely the best she's ever had and I had the fried seafood platter. Also a bowl of Boston clam chowder. Every entree was absolutely delicious. Yes spend a little time here and wait while your meal is cooked and it'll be well worth it.

The fresh food was cooked well, and very tasty. But this is a restaurant that is no longer on the way up. Dark, musty, and not very well kept anymore. The postings on the wall from earlier decades let you know this was once the place to go.

It’s a dump. Walk into someone’s living room to have them cook VERY overpriced food for you. Think of this as a rural restaurant that has little competition for tourists and few locals that must keep its bar in business. The burgers were slider sized and our medium well order was definitely medium rare. The fish tasted like it was previously frozen and crab cakes tasted thawed from who knows when. Take your money elsewhere or cook at home.

This place was recommended to us by a very friendly local named Roz whom we had asked where could we get some great seafood. We both had the crab cake sandwiches and onion rings. Yes the place itself is not impressive and the service is not fast. But the food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

Courtney's recommended by our rental agency. Stopped by for a late lunch. Hard to find a clean table to sit at. Overall, the place was dirty with boxes sitting everywhere. The server was over 80 and slowwwww. Wanted to shoot the breeze with everyone. Food was tolerable but certainly not as good as we expected and definitely not worth the price.
When it was time to go, I couldn't find the server to get the check. I had to write down what food and drinks we got on the placemat and take it to the bar. But, the bartender was not at the bar. I had to stick my head into the kitchen to find anyone and tell them I needed to go and therefore needed to pay my bill. They couldn't find my check and had to use what I had written on the placemat.
I would expect better of a place right on the water. Also, the waiter told us he had to come in at 4 am to wash the dishes from the evening before. My experience with the restaurant industry is that this is not allowed. Everything is supposed to be cleaned up before the staff leaves at night. Inspectors need to check on this place.
Don't go there.

We stopped for a late lunch. There were few choices in the area and we were looking forward to trying this place. The location was nice, at the end of road, on the water with some picnic tables outside so we had high hopes. The food was overpriced and poor. My husband ordered a fish sandwich basket with sides of cole slaw and potato salad. The two salads were about a tablespoon of each in a small bowl. I ordered the shrimp basket with fries. The shrimp was over-fried while the fries were barely cooked, still cold in the middle. Two sodas and a coffee came to about $62, without tip. The place was a mess with half-eaten food on almost every empty table.

The crabs are best all around. The salinity of the waters makes the crabs taste 10X better than anywhere else in Maryland. You must put on Bucket List of places to eat MD Crabs! Plus, Oysters are perfect!

Incredibly fresh seafood, caught that morning. The rockfish stuffed with crab is the very best seafood dish in the entire Washington region. See a full review at john tanners bbq blog, search Courtney’s.

Perhaps Courtney's is more for the locals of the region; unfortunately, it is not particularly inviting overall and the interior may say a lot about the history of the restaurant, but it is so old that you don't necessarily feel comfortable there because everything is a bit stuck in the mustiness of bygone times.
The food is generally good though; there is fresh fish of the day in a variety of varieties and with nice side dishes. The portions are rather small for the price though.
We were there one evening with 9 people and there was a larger group and a few smaller ones besides us. We were told that it might take a while because there is only one chef, but everything took a very, very long time.

Service by Kathy was terrific. Very attentive. Food was hot and delicious. We had Rockfish bites, oyster stew (yum), fried oysters, and salad bar. Homemade apple pie for dessert. Almost forgot about the homemade rolls--perfect. All very good. Typical looking so. MD mom and pop place with a big heart. Definitely would go back when in the area. Barbara

The food was delicious, it was recommended to us by our hosts at the Inn. My husband had crab sandwich, delicious, I had cheeseburger also delicious. Dessert was the best, blackberry crisp with ice cream. The waitress was so friendly.

We were told by a local "they put their money towards the food so don't judge it by its appearance ". So we went to checked it out. Yes, the building is a bit rough looking and outdated but the food was awesome! I can't have gluten or dairy and I was able to eat the blue crab soup (which was delicious!), a salad and some king crab legs. All of the food was great. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. She said her dad catches all the food and her mom cooks it. It was a great experience and has a beautiful view of the water. If you haven't been here, I recommend checking it out!

Love everything about this casual family-run restaurant at the water at the end of Wynn’s Road. Owner Julie does the cooking and it is perfection. Simple broiled rockfish lightly dressed with orange slices, a charred lemon slice, a few thinly-sliced onions, and some minced pimentos (or maybe just red peppers). Could not have been better! Great food, great people. It takes time to get food this right, so if you are very hungry, try ordering the salad bar instead of the two sides that come with dinner (though you would miss out on the delicious hush puppies). Quiet enough to enjoy conversation with companions.

Unique operation at the end of the trail. Seafood caught in the AM and served the same day. Crab sandwich called the slammer was excellent. Great french fries and a crab vegetable soup. Food aside the place is old run down and not very neat. Go for the food and call it a day.
