About
Brooklyn inspired Jewish deli offering breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. We specialize in the traditional delicatessen meats and smoked fish. Our corned beef, pastrami, brisket, roast beef and hand carved turkey are all "home made" at the restaurant. Our legendary Chicken Noodle (with or without matzoh ball) is made fresh daily. We offer daily specials and often have "surprise" baked items when Guy is so inspired. We bake our own rye and pumpernickel. Our bagels are from the famed "Whatsa Bagel (aka Bethesda Bagels)" and are absolutely the best and most authentic in the area. We are family owned and operated restaurant located in Potomac, Maryland. Chef/owner Guy Brandt is often mingling with our guests when not in the kitchen. We are honored to have so many "regular" guests, many of whom follow us on our FaceBook page. Our "Pooch Patio" is available anytime the weather permits. We hope to serve you soon! Nice family atmosphere with framed pictures on the wall and quick service (though you never felt rushed). Packed on a weekend. Menu is broad and appealing, made all the more interesting by the names of some of the offerings. Corn beef hash platter was named the Jerry and it had actual pieces of meat, not the processed meat you normally get at other places. In the warmer weather, try their outdoor patio. Also their matzo ball soup is great too. I really liked this place and would come back. Ample parking here.

This is a good deli with a friendly staff. Easy to order ahead and just pick-up the food. Good food and food is ready when they say.

Brooklyn Deli is a good place for deli and breakfast all day. The service is very efficient and the food is consistently very good.

I used Brooklyn's Deli's online ordering option and paid for the items and was given a specific time to pick up the food. When I went to pick up the food the Deli was CLOSED! The next day I contacted the Manager to request a refund and the manager informed me that it wasn't their responsibility and I would have to contact the company that they use to take their online orders. After I complained that it was their responsibility the MANAGER HUNG UP ON ME! This is no way to treat a customer.

Such an unpleasant experience. We were approached by an older man in grungy clothes who I guess was the host. He had a dirty grey sweatshirt on. Still not sure what his roll is. The menus were dirty and clearly hadn’t been wiped down. Bathroom was cluttered and in need of a good cleaning. When we made a request to be more comfortable they had no interest in even attempting to fulfill it. The male owner or manager was incredibly rude with no customer service skills. He was offensive. I often make restaurant suggestions and eat out at casual and fun restaurants routinely. This was awful and I will never return.

I came here with a friend for the first time. We sat outside. It took quite awhile to be waited on. My pastrami sandwhich came out cold and had to be sent back. The knish was hot and was very good. The sandwhich was big but it was just OK. We had to ask for pickles and mustard.
Overall. it was a bit disappointing. I would like to give this place another chance.

Complete menu, good service, and excellent food. I like the chicken soup and Charles' low carb scoopers. The sandwiches are really good; however, the prices are a bit high.

Great service. Tasty sandwich with an abundance of pastrami on it. Reasonable prices. Sort of an out of the way location but easy to find.
Love that the owner works the crowd and is quite personable.
Was our first visit but certainly will return. By the way……had a taste of the chopped liver which is wonderful. Jewish caviar.

For many years, this has been the go-to place in the DMV for anyone who wants authentic NY-style deli. Fabulous sandwiches, especially corned beef. Creative, tasty omelets. And so much more, including service, selection, and atmosphere. Even during Covid! If you need catering, they're terrific, too. The only thing missing - that I DON'T miss: waitstaff with attitude. ;-) But if you want delicious, authentic deli - and more - you shouldn't miss Brookluyn's Deli.

Roast beef with coleslaw and Russian dressing was ordinary and not tasty. The coleslaw was meh. Also, the sandwiches are expensive, like $15 per!

I met a friend for a delightful breakfast and long conversation. We arrived at 8:00am, and within a couple of minutes we were enjoying our first cup of coffee in a booth. The dining room is decorated like a New York Deli restaurant, but the high ceilings help keep down the noise level. Very pleasant.
My friend ordered an omelet with spinach, ham, and mushrooms. I ordered the Bob Milloy Omellete (sauteed onions, sweet peppers, tomatoes & muenster cheese). Both were excellent.
Our server kept our cup filled, but otherwise gave us plenty of time to catch up. She was efficient, friendly, and could read her customers perfectly.
All in all, it was a great breakfast.

We needed a place to eat before going to the Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center, and we were lucky to find this place. The corned beef sandwich was everything advertised — huge, tender, well flavored — and the fresh rye bread was outstanding.
My wife’s chicken salad on a bagel was also great, and our son enjoyed the blueberry pancake and sausage.
Staff was very friendly, and everything was served extremely fast. Would highly recommend.
