Great meal - great value! Had an early Sunday dinner that was very well prepared. Creative, fresh, well presented food. Rockfish was perfectly cooked, pork with sweet potato tater tots was amazing. The crab was clearly true Maryland crab (you can tell by the color and taste) Homemade peach pie was delicious. $99 very well spent - apps, drinks, entrees... More

This was the second restaurant we visited in Oxford and our dining experience was a good one. We were worried that we were the only ones in the dining room, but did hear some voices coming from the other side of the bar area so assume others were present. The menu is quite limited and that could be a challenge,... More

We were a group of ten and made reservations. We were seating "behind the velvet curtain" in our own private room. The food was fantastic. Crab souffle was great, soft shell crabs were very good. Service was par. The restroom needs some serious updating.

Popes was a favorite waterman's watering hole while Mr. Pope ran it. It has been successfully transformed into an upscale neighborhood restaurant with an eclectic menu. Someone went to France to learn how to do duck breasts! The best.

We have eaten at Pope's on several occasions and have always enjoyed our visit. Great Pub food in a quaint relaxing atmosphere. One of Oxford's best venues !

As always, brusque and indifferent service. Great duck, after that, disappointed. Husband made out ok. Nice oyster rockefeller soup. Ok fried oysters. Dreadful steak salad. No one cared that I did not eat my dinner. Sav Blanc ice cold for my husband. No one asked if I wanted another drink.

This was a lovely surprise in Oxford. The service was excellent and great attention to detail. Warm bread and lovely roast garlic clove in the herby oil dip was a good first impression! The swordfish special was excellent with asparagus that was beautifully cooked, so often it can be overcooked. The smoked salmon risotto was excellent, no soggy rice here,... More

We stayed at the inn for our anniversary and enjoyed ourselves. The wait staff were friendly and helpful, definitely busy, but not too busy to be friendly. We met friendly people at the bar. The small dining room makes it feel cozy. We enjoyed our meal, but nothing stands out. The menu was rather limited, but with good choices. Overall,... More

I was celebrating my wife's birthday so I called and made a reservation here. The lady who answered the phone was very pleasant and said that she only had a couple of tables near the bar because all of the other tables were reserved and that they were going to be very busy. (While there I heard her say the... More
