We were very impressed with the rustic decor and down home atmosphere here. We loved the way the place was laid out and felt very comfortable (hence the two star rating). However, the food quantity literally left more to be desired. First off we were...put off that only one side came with an entree. Noticed this at a few places lately and don't really understand it. (Covid maybe???) A full entree dinner usually always came with two sides or one side and a side salad. Apparently not anymore. Oh and we were asked if we wanted bread. Uh,yeah. So one lame roll per person was brought. An additional side is ala carte and ala priced. A simple bar drink was close to $10. Bowl of soup $7.50. We didn't opt for either. Serving size was just okay but with only one side and that meager roll, frankly we left still hungry. We noticed that prices and portions at lunchtime were also the same as dinner. Not really fair. This place just gave the impression that they didn't really want to go any further than they had to for their customers. The service was lacking in personality. Why did we get the feeling they were doing us a favor letting us eat there? Don't really think we'll be going back anytime soon. We wouldn't want to put them out. Save your pared down morsels and smiles for others. Happy, well satisfied customers mean a successful business with a secure bottom line for it's owners and employees. By the way, why didn't we say anything before leaving...just won't do that. Adding more unpleasantness to a situation is not what we wanted to do. We just won't come back.More

Nice neighborhood family restaurant in a nice shopping mall. Attractive decor, friendly staff, active bar and very good food which is reasonably priced. Excellent salads, seafood and steak.

Meeting some family up in Olney. Found this place on the web. Gave it a try. Very good. Nice and cozy on a cold/rainy winter night. Food was excellent. Service was good too. I would go back.

Jason is the best server ever...smart, personable, attentive...the largest pct tip we've ever given! Recognizing that our grandson had the "hangries", the lucious rolls and whipped butter arrived piping hot/cold quickly. Our grandson's crab bisque was the best ever! Full of crab, nicely seasoned...fed two...people. My Olney Grill was the best take of a Monte Cristo...superb! Our grandson's grilled cheese and fries were crisp, not at all greasy or salty..Reasonably priced. On my last visit I had the best crab cakes around. Olney is blessed to have a welcoming, well priced and high quality food establishment such as this....NO, I DO NOT OWN ANY PART OF THE RESTAURANT, NIR DO ANY FAMILY WORK HERE!More

The food is consistently good and the service friendly at this long-time Olney restaurant. The menu has a wide choice of appetizers, soups, sandwiches, burgers and entrees. There are always daily specials. The wait to be seated can be long at dinner time, so it's...worth calling ahead to check how long the wait is.More

My husband and I both had the 10 oz cajun ribeye medium well. I had baked potato and side salad with ranch dressing. It also came with a cajun horseradish sauce. He had broccoli as his side. Everything was cooked perfectly and was hot. I...think the steaks were larger than 10 oz. The steaks were cajun blackened but were not spicy nor were they too salty as lots of blackened meats are. Will be back again soon.More

Went there for dinner. Really want to like this place but the food quality is not what I’d expect for the price. Service is just ok.

We love this Olney original. The owner's and staff make you feel like part of the family. The food is delish - but somehow we always seem to order the crab cakes. My mother-in-law is very picky about crab cakes and she even agrees that...they make some of the best ones around.More

First time at Olney Grill. Googled best restaurants in Olney which was convenient location for me and my neice. We met on Friday for lunch and was met by a friendly manager. Our Server was friendly and engaged us in conversation. Our food came very...quickly. The BBQ,rib appetizer was delicious. I had a hearty chicken breast sandwich on grain bread and my neice had achicken salad sandwich on a bun. We were both completely satisfied.More

We had lunch here recently with friends who live in the area. Because of several stacked stone walls, I could see the interior of the restaurant had been updated, and the ambiance was pleasant. Our table shared two starters–fried oysters and potato skins with the...usual trimmings plus crab. The oysters were good, but my husband and I thought the crab didn’t quite work with the skins. I had a Cobb salad for lunch. It was good, but whoever made it dumped at least a half cup of shredded cheese on top. So much Cheddar detracted from the overall mix of the salad ingredients, and I spent a lot of time picking out and discarding cheese. My husband had meatloaf which he thought was just okay. And our friend got her favorite sandwich–the Olney Grille. She kept commenting that the flavor was good, but the bread had too much mayonaise and was soggy. The iced tea was good, and the service was friendly.More
