Ricciuti's - Excellent Food & Super Service but Our Table Area was not What we Wanted

I'll start on the positive side. All the ladies in our Red Hat group loved their food. Several got the pork chops with bbq sauce - very tasty. Many got the special of brisket lasagna & they loved it. 1 got spaghetti and sauce and enjoyed that, too. For dessert, several of us shared some tiramisus... read more

...especially for their wood fired pizzas. Took grandkids there one evening....good service and a relief from chain pizzas. Not expensive....decent selection of wines and beers. Interesting dessert chocolate pizza with fruit topping.

We came for an early dinner after a matinee at the nearby Olney Theater. Because we were five and had no reservations, the only place they could put us was in a private room upstairs (go ahead, twist my arm): it turned out to be the perfect place for us: utterly quiet and peaceful...almost like sitting at our dinner table.... Cozy. Friendly. Saw families ages birth to 90 and suits to jeans. Organic farm to table. The food made my palate dance. Freshest brick oven pizza sauce ever. The earl grey hot tea was comforting. The desserts- over the moon with freshness! Homemade everything. The restroom upstairs had a top of the line changing table for babies. Serious thought put... More

We had 8 people at dinner and all were delighted by the interesting menu and wonderful drink options. Food was well prepared and service was appropriate. It's a small place, a house really, so book early..

We were at Ricciuti's with three other couples. All the soups were served cold. Most of the entrees were served cold. As a result, we ate in "shifts" with some eating their first course while others waited to get re-heated food. Then eating the re-heated soups while others ate their main course. And then getting main courses brought to the... More

Staff was very warm and responsive, seating us in a corner table, providing a highchair and very responsive to my husband's celiac disease. Food was good, too.

We came on a Sunday evening and were able to get seating promptly. The building that the restaurant is in appears to formerly been a mansion, so dining is in several rooms. We were on the second floor. We all had Italian style food which was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. The appetizer was a little small for... More

I was longed enticed to visit the restaurant, and I had an image painted by the elegant name, webpage, and the offer of organic, cage-free, and local produce. The wait staff was responsive and efficient, but food did not match up. The lasagna was a mess, pork chop was over cooked, and coffee was really weak and water down.

This was my second time at Ricciuti's, and I enjoyed it both times. The menu allows people with varying dietary needs and preferences to find menu items clearly identified, and they were accommodating of requests. I have to say the crab cake was disappointing, but I was raised in Baltimore where they know how to make 'em. I should really... More
