The shrimp and grits entree was very tasty, if a bit overpriced. We sat in the bar so we could people watch. Service was attentive. The manager/liquor buyer was very helpful in looking up and offering to order favorite Irish whisky. We purchased a bottle of a favorite wine but $10 corkage fee is excessive for a bottle purchased in house.

Liquid Assets was recommended to us by a condo owner we rented from a few weeks ago while in Ocean City. At the time, restaurants were open for takeout only, but we made it a point to try Liquid Assets and were so glad we did. Their menu is varied and everything we tried was delicious. We sampled a selection of cheeses and charcuterie and shared a massage kale salad. All were excellent. The salad was especially delicious and full of various flavors and textures, such as soft feta and crispy serrano ham. We were hungry, so we also ordered the wood-fired bread, which we definitely didn't need. We ended up eating it with leftovers the next day. For entrees, I tried the Shrimp & Grits and my husband had the Softshell crabs. Both were delicious. We also tried the house-made doughnuts. I can't say enough about how delicious they were! We were stuffed, buy highly recommend.

We ate twice here during a three-night stay in OC. Since we liked the dinner here two years ago, we tried early dinner even before checking in the hotel. We ordered Kung Pao Calamari (ordered the same dish two years ago), Pan Steamed Mussels, and Seared Scallops Risotto. All of them were really, really good. A lot of food, so we enjoyed left-over at the hotel that evening. The day before leaving OC, we tried lunch combo, pick 2 for $11, BBQ with Kale salad for me and Pasta with charred broccoli for wife. The quality is on par with regular entrees. It is unbelievable that the restaurant can offer such good quality dishes at that price.

Ambience and food were excellent, but...
Our party had just finished a number of delicious appetizers, when our main course was delivered by two employees, leaving the table uncomfortably cluttered with used plates.
So we sat there, waiting, waiting, waiting.
Why didn't they also bus the table? They could clearly see that the plates had no food on them.
Finally, one of us sought out our server (who had not delivered the entrees by the way) dutifully taking an order from another customer. Naturally, she apologized and eventually cleared our dishes.
Truth be told, the server shouldn't be blamed for our inconvenience, but her two colleagues should've shown some initiative and helped her out by clearing the table.
In this time of Covid, it's understandable that there will be some kinks at all dining establishments, but this experience seems to indicate a basic lack of training, or at the very least, a lack of co-ordination between staff members.
Even so, we will be back.

My family and I eat out a lot. All the way from fast food to fine dining. We don't mind paying extra when the food is especially good. The meal I had was beyond "good" it was spectacular and the service perfectly attentive.
For our Appetizer: Cheese & Meat boards- For the meat: Salame Sopressata from Berkley, California. For the cheese: Boxcar Campo. (A lightly smoked cheese). What a delight it was to enjoy these two things mixed with the little fruits and sour things they had to go with it.
For my entre: 16oz Angus NY Strip topped with melted herb butter, with fried mashed potato balls (called Potato & parmesan croquette with truffle cream), and grilled green beans. How I wish I had room for dessert! This was a real treat, and I'm so glad to have discovered this place.
Our daughter had the Wagyu 10oz steak and it was very well prepared.
My wife had the open face French Dip. A very large amount of dipping sauce. The steak fries long and cooked perfectly. I'd highly recommend this place. There are also countless bottles of wines and hard liquors.

We chose this restaurant because of how close it was to where we were staying and the reviews in Trip Advisor.
Walking into the restaurant I thought it was a wine store. All the walls are covered with bottles of wine. The entry is one room, cleverly divided using wine barrels and other items, and includes the bar.
You can eat at the bar, but we chose the dining area in an adjoining room. The dining room was comfortable, and our waitress was wonderful. She knew the menu and answered all our questions about it. Surprisingly, she was equally knowledgeable about the wine and made wonderful suggestions.
While all of this was nice, you go to a restaurant for its food. Our meals were fantastic! The food smelled great, the texture was wonderful, and it tasted as good as it smelled.
I am not a fan of green beans, but they were served as a side dish with my entrée. They were great! With Thanksgiving coming soon, the chef would be doing a public service if he published his recipe.
Normally, we don’t order dessert, but the meal was so good we decided to order a dessert to take home.
While some may consider the menu a little pricey, after you have eaten, and you can taste the chef’s extra effort in your entrée preparation, it doesn’t seem that expensive.
This is an easy restaurant to recommend.

Went there after a recommendation for dessert. Looks like a cute and quaint wine cellar so walking in with 2 children in toe I was nervous. The GM or owner was so super nice to us, he took the time to tell us what the desserts were and described them, we ordered 2 desserts and some drinks for us adults. The desserts were phenomenal. Even ordered a charcuterie board to try and we loved everything here! Would go again, ad did the next day!

As OCMD regulars, we've eaten at all of this group's restaurants, and have never been anything but very pleased. We were especially happy to hear that they would be catering our daughter's wedding at the Indian River Lifesaving Station Museum in Rehoboth Beach. Guy Bashore led us through a tasting 3 weeks before the wedding, and while we were bowled over by the samplings, he continually assured us that it would be even better at the wedding! And he and his staff more than delivered! Everything prepared fresh on-site, served efficiently and friendly, and extremely fairly priced. (As an aside, our guest list included several people in the food service industry, and they raved non-stop.) We cannot say enough about our experience!

Our party of 4 attempted to have dinner here. We were seated quickly but could tell the restaurant was busy. Must have been a golf tournament that day. We usually love this restaurant and take time to visit whenever we are in OC. Unfortunately our waiter was not courteous or concerned about us. It took a while for him to come to our table to take drink orders. Three us ordered at that time. One of our party went to look at the wine selections so I placed his drink order for him. The waiter did not return for over 20 minutes to bring us drinks and when the 4th person in our group asked how long it would be if she placed a drink order the waiter very rudely commented that it depended on what she ordered. The table behind us with a party of 6 came in after us and they had drinks and food orders placed. We asked for our check and also asked to speak with the manager before we left. The manager was just as curt and had an excuse for everything. I said I knew the restaurant was busy but that did not excuse the treatment from the waiter or others being served before us. He blamed the late drink order on the gentleman who was looking for wine even though his order was placed. We felt like we were not important. We did not wish to wait for another hour for food since one of our party was diabetic and needed to eat in a reasonable time frame. We were seated at 7pm and did not leave the restaurant until after 8pm because of the service, and that was only for drinks our food order was never taken and the specials were not explained. I will say that the manager did pay for our drinks but was still arrogant. I understand that restaurants can be very busy and that many are understaffed but that does not explain the waiter's behavior or the manager's while he was speaking with us. Also doesn't explain why the golfers already were served. Maybe they were all having a bad day but customers deserve good service and respect. Someone lost a very big tip that day!

Gosh, what a find my wife Stefanie made on the internet! Don`t let the outside fool you. You want to be wined and dined, don`t you? We did. To that end the food, company, and good times within will make your stay well worth stepping inside that door. Three walls surround you with liquor, wine, and beer choices to take with you at some point, as did I. The food and service we had within those walls of 'elixirs from the gods' was top shelf all the way as our server, "881 Chris M", was very knowledgeable about what there was to offer. Wallace would be in heaven as the cheese selection is extensive, from soft to firm. For starters in that realm we ordered the Boxxcar plate which came with a subtle smoky cheese and crackers plus some artistic fruits and a currant compote to compliment the cheese flavors. Very unique. Stefanie had the Amish chicken which she said was perfectly cooked and not heavy. The interesting thing here was that Server 881 Christ M suggested a particular Carpazo red wine to go with her chicken. My wife was skeptical, thinking a white was a better choice, but was persuaded by his suggestion and apparent expertise. She said it paired very well with the chicken--a pleasant surprise. I myself ordered the fried shrimp and grits and it, too, was out of this world. I enjoyed it with a delicious Pumkintini drink topping the meal off with the bread pudding delight. Thankfully there were several couches nearby on which to retire before returning to our hotel. One thing we loved is that everyone inside was having a great time carrying on just like the "old days", which, you know, really weren`t that long ago, were they! (No face diapers required. YAYYY!)

A friend and I went for dinner after reading the reviews. There was a wait so they placed at a table where we could have drinks while waiting. There, the waitress told us that we weren’t limited to wines on the menu - we could pick any wine in the wine store for a $10 mark up. Loved that because we picked a good wine that would have been much more expensive on a wine list any place else. My friend had the chicken pate and I had Kung pao calamari (a good spice kick!). We both liked our meals and the experience so much, we went back for lunch two days later.

Usually a great place to dine. Excellent food & service by Shore standards.
However, had a horrible dining experience in January, probably a one off, understaffed, busier than usual evening. We took the time to document the good & the areas of concern. Mentioned in said correspondence we have dined there many times over the years & have conducted considerable business out of their establishment. Sent a letter (3) times, emailed once, and called twice to make sure letter was going to proper authority…neither Denver the GM nor Mr. Trader, owner could take the time to correspond. Guessing success and arrogance has now plagued this once formidable establishment. Don’t regret our dining experiences over the years but given the lack of empathy & EQ…many other places to spend our dime!💪

Liquid Assets is the best restaurant we have tried in a very long time. The baked oysters were excellent as was the spicy cacciatore appetizer (big enough for a entrée!) The grilled cheese sandwich was also good. Chris, our server, was very accommodating to our requests - a consummate professional! There is a famous doughnut/ice cream dessert that will appeal to many (we didn't try it this time). It was a delightful dining experience!

My husband and IDE died to take a break from our busy lives during November and went to Ocean City. We were walking and saw Liquid Assets in this little plaza, looked it up on line and thought it looked really unique. We were right! Awesome wine list and craft beers. Not huge lists but well chosen. This place makes their own house sausages, has an awesome cheese selection and you can choose your own charcuterie board! Phenomenal apps, specials and entrees! Crispy Korean ribs were amazing! Their house made donuts used for their ice cream sandwich dessert with bourbon sauce was truly decadent. The atmosphere and service was wonderful! A special shout out to our server, Chris M. He knew it was our first time there and was very well versed in all of the cheeses, dishes and specials. He was attentive without being intrusive and has true customer service down pat. We made sure to share this with one of the managers on our way out. All in all, great experience. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for some serious quality, house made items!

Cozy, clean cut place, mixed crowd of very well dressed (buttoned down shirts/dress shoes) and casual (shorts and flip flops) people. Very busy on a Thursday night. We had drinks while waiting for a table. My Old Fashioned was excellent. Wife's fruity cocktail (don't remember the name) was ok - too strong.
We had crab cakes like the wife wanted. They were good. A bit pricey imho ($49), but i don't have a local scale of reference, how much they usually cost in a higher end local restaurants/bars
In summary, vibe/service/food quality/overall impression were positive. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place that has a fancier food/drink menu than a local pub, where you can dress up for a date and that has a great atmosphere as well.
