Quick take out, which was prepared after we placed our order. What made this restaurant a bit different from most other places we’ve ordered from is that it was really nicely furnished, and set up for a good sized amount of eat in guests. Food was very good and service was very good, too.

Dependable Chinese cooking at the beach!

Convenient spot located in a shopping plaza in north ocean city that offers dependable Chinese food. Recommended to it by friends who swear by it. Not the biggest selection of dishes but all the usual goodies are there. As a diner of Chinese descent, I honestly thought the food was quite alright. I recommend the bean curd with mixed vegetables. Really liked the hardness of the fried tofu amidst all the softer vegetables. Also enjoyed the beef with mushroom dish. All the dishes had a pretty good flavor to it. The chicken lo mein was ok too. Ordering online was smooth and the food was ready very quickly. There are some dine-in tables but this place caters more to carryouts. Would go back!

decent chinese food for OC

Positive experience with No 1 chinese restaurant.

My wife and me ordered dinner from No 1. I ordered a pint of hot and sour soup and beef and broccoli. Wife had vegetable lo mein. Told to pick up in 10 minutes. We came in 15 minutes the food was waiting. Picked up condiments and utensils at the door and off we go to the hotel. The food was nicely packaged. The hot and sour soup was just right. The steam rice side dish was cooked just right and main dish was also very good. My wife was happy with her lo mein (and she is not easy to please). If I am hungry for chinese in ocean city No 1 will be at the top of my list.

My husband and I are trying to find a Chinese place that has tasty food. I read the reviews, between that and the name I got sucked in. We gave it a shot. It was the worst Chinese food we've ever eaten. It tasted like eating nothing but a bunch of tasteless oil. I got the worst cramps after eating it. I will never go back there. I will say that without a doubt this is not number one Chinese food.

This was the worst food we’ve had in awhile! The rice was hard & sesame chicken was small & fatty! Very disappointing! Never again!

Good choice for dinner!

We ordered shrimp toast, crab Rangoon and general tso’s for two of us and we are stuffed. Great Chinese food for a beach resort town. Would recommend this place.

Great find!

We were on vacation and a bit tired and hungry. We remembered seeing this restaurant on another run and decided to try it. Both the General’s chicken and shrimp lo mein tasted great. We also had vegetarian and egg rolls which were also good. Definitely worth a visit!

The lo mein was tasty but greasy. The pork fried rice was really good! My online order wasn't received but they made my order right away and got me out the door. Good Spring Roll and Rice

This is the second Chinese restaurant we tried in Ocean City and this has to be the worse of the two. I'm convinced there's just isn't any good Chinese restaurants in OC. We had two beef and one chicken dishes and only one of the beef dishes tasted good. The chicken had the strangest texture I've ever tasted and at first I thought it was tofu. I did like the spring roll and the pork fried rice that came with the combination platters. The restaurant was clean, the staff was nice and the food was ready quickly as promised. I doubt if we will ever return and I couldn't recommend eating here.
