We arrived right as the dining area was closing but we were able to order pizza for take out. The pizza was delicious and the staff was very pleasant.
Food was great, reasonably priced. We got pizza, crab dip and chicken tenders. Delivery was very fast. Will eat there again.
Average pizza, toppings all in the middle, lots of crust. Expensive for what we got, and they add a fee for credit cards🤪. Not going again
Fine place to go, if you pay cash. If you use a credit card, they will add a surcharge onto the card to cover fees. Not a nice surprise.
Was live music night. Crowd seemed happy. Food smelled good. We had pizza. It was hot, fresh, and a generous amount of toppings. There is an up charge if you use a credit card.
We called them at 6pm on a Saturday night, on Labor Day weekend, when they were supposed to be open until 9pm. We waited on hold for about 15 minutes before someone picked up the phone and screamed into it that they were closed. Now,...we understand COVID has created staffing shortages for business who arent' willing to entice workers with reasonable wages, or pleasant working environments. We also understand there are shortages of some things like wings and crab in the Maryland area. However, pizza isn't made with ingredients there are a shortage of, and it does NOT take very many employees to at least be open for carry out only. So, I don't know how bady the management screwed up to not be open on a holiday weekend, but holy cow. And why yell at me for calling when you're supposed to be open? We had never been to Johnny's, now we'll NEVER go to Johnny's. We've been going to OC for 40 years. We could have been great customers if they earned our business.More
UPDATE: We also realized that they forgot our 2-Liter as well! We called in the morning and the manager during the day said there was nothing he could do so he’ll leave it to the afternoon manager. Turns out the afternoon manager was the one...who treated us horribly!! After calling again, the manager became arrogant and said he’s sorry that WE forgot our pop in the fridge like we knew! There are people coming in and out of ocean city everyday! Not everyone is a local! He hung up on me and when I called back to ask for the owner he also hung up and said he wasn’t going to do that. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! Ignorant staff and terrible management, we still do not have a refund when they messed up everything on our order besides the salad!More
First I want to remind everyone, the hospitality industry is struggling with lack of workers. Please be kind to the workers who showed up for work. Wednesday evening my family (3 adults and 1 toddler) choose to try out Johnnys pizza. Best decision made all...week. Heather left us know they were closing soon but would still make us a pizza. Toddlers are picky eaters...at least mine is. Frank (I think that was his name) made our pizza the exact way we wanted. Heather was awesome. Interacted with my little guy and helped keep him occupied while our food was being made. Gave us a small break after a long day. Highly recommend the meat lovers pizza. Will be back next time we are in OCMD!More
First of all, the food was good. Pizza, hamburgers, cheese bread, fries, cheesesteak....all good. The problem begins and ends with Albert. Albert, in case you haven’t already guessed, was our server. Nice kid....No present or future in this industry. From not serving two meals with...the other three in a party of five, to clearing the table when we were finished, Albert did none of these. Did I say he was a nice kid? Being a server myself, it was so bad it was almost funny. Albert....Do everybody a favor and get a job at one of those cbd stores. You will fit in there quite nicely. Albert....definitely not Einstein.More
Called from condo for delivery- no delivery today. Okay we can pick up! We’d like the family deal for 29.99$ (like the recording when you call states as an offer) oh sorry our prices went up today- that’s now 49.99$. You increased that 20$ Today?...Yes. Ok- can I get this sub- that’s now $8 more than yesterday. Ok- forget it. Thanks anyway. Something sketchy going on there. It’s like they were making it up as they went.More
This place was definitely not worth it. We called them after another place was closed, it being the off season. Tried to order delivery but they said their delivery driver didn’t come in. Ok, we’ll pick it up. First thing we tried to order was...the garlic parm wings mixed with hot sauce. They said they couldn’t do that. Not that hard, but Whatever, we just got the garlic ones. Next we tried to order a chicken parm sub. They said they weren’t running the grill tonight. On a Friday night at 8. Ok. Tried to order a cold cut sub. They said they weren’t making subs at all. Ok. Getting annoyed but just ordered two calzones instead. We were hungry and just wanted to order at that point. $77. And THEN they charged a 3% fee for using a card instead of cash. Seriously??? This is a pizza place with a bar. And you charge a fee for using your card?? The chicken fingers we got for our son that said “jumbo chicken tenders” were just some thin generic boxed chicken tenders. Terrible.More
Excellent pizza! The blue crab pizza is to die for but even something as simple as pepperoni is amazing!
The pizza is the best in OCMD, hands down, but what really makes Johnny's stand out is the staff. The waiter we had on Saturday (9/19) pretty much made the whole weekend for us. I hope mgmt sees this and tells him we said so!...We ordered the "disgusting" pumpkin beer (hahahaha, it was yummy), and one of our party special ordered pizza with American cheese and they accommodated that request, too. The pepperoni was so good I picked it all off and ate it and we told the waiter our pizza came with no pepperoni. He knew better, but went and got us a bunch of pepperoni anyway. :) When we arrived (during bike week) the place was packed, but someone met us at the door immediately and told us it would only be a few minutes. Within five minutes they had a table cleaned for our party of six. We will definitely stop at Johnny's every time we are in OC from now on!More
We got just a plain cheese pizza and it was good, and had good flavor. We will definitely eat here again!
