My friends and I were in OC on a few day trip, looking for some good sandwiches for a late dinner. A lot of places were closed already but after a long search we called this place and were able to place a pick up...order. The guy on the phone was nice and patient, upon arrival the staff were all very welcoming and helpful and the food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. We got a couple cheesesteaks, a pork sandwich and some onion rings and gravy fries and I tell you what the food was AWESOME. Onion rings nice and crispy, cheesesteak had a great amount of cheese on it, side salad was fresh and i love that they serve a nice fat pickle with their sandwiches. Next time I’m def trying the beef brisket cuz the pork looked insane, and my friend said it was as good as it looked! The portion sizes were also nice and big! 20/10 would go back!!More

When planning our yearly OCMD fall trip, I was dreaming of this meal. We stopped in our first night after arriving. The restaurant was clean and using “social distancing” procedures. My meal was great and exactly what I expected - I got a Rachel with...sweet potato fries. For 2 of us to eat and have a beer it was about $50. My only complaint is that it took about 15 minutes to get the check - even after the table was cleared by the waitress. However, everything was delicious, the place was clean, and staff was friendly.More

We have dinner at the Pit and Pubs frequently, but I will stay away from the 28th Street location. The female blond bartender did not have a mask! Our waitress did not wear her mask properly. The bar was very crowded.

The food was pretty good as was the atmosphere. When we entered it wasn't very crowded, just a few tables and a few drunk locals at the bar. It got pretty busy later on. We ordered and I got a beer and was told beers...run about $3.50-$4.00. I decided to order one....it was $5.50. I thought it was a pretty good night except for the four older locals who were smashed at the bar slurring loud profanities. The business was good about wiping down the menus, tables, doors and so on for COVID. With that said, many of the employees were not wearing face coverings, especially the male bartender. To me, I get it and it's not that big of a deal, I understand, it gets hot. Here is where it gets interesting. On my receipt, it stated "THANK You dick." I was like WTF, I didn't say anything crazy. I sure hope the waiters name was Dick but I would've laughed if he said Hi, I am Dick and I'll be your server. His name I am fairly certain was not Dick. I messaged the business and showed them the receipt and no answer. With that, I came on here and posted my review. Again, I'd go back, but their attempt at humor by calling me a Dick was unnecessary.More

Tried to place a carry out order via phone on Monday @ 5pm. Was told "We are not taking orders". Then asked if I could come in and get carry out. Was curtly told " We are too busy". Click

Terrific BBQ and the portions are hefty, so be prepared! The brisket and the pulled pork was amazing. Not very much available as far as outdoor seating, though. They did carryout and there was social distancing within the restaurant. The cornbread is not to be...missed!More

We ate indoors last week. We arrived at 4:30 hoping to beat the crowds, which we did. Everything we ordered (pulled pork, pulled chicken, caprese salad, mac n cheese) was excellent! It appeared clean, which pleased us, too

The crab pretzel is to to die for. The GRAVY fries are a must. There are so many entrees you have to keep coming back to try them all. Great place to come see your favorite sporting event too. Great selection at the bar too....This is a must when in OC.More

During our recent trip to OC, my wife and I enjoyed dinner here. I had the beef brisket sandwich, while my wife had the bbq chicken sandwich. We both got a side of fries. My sandwich was overstuffed with lots of tasty brisket. The size...of the fries was large, but they were just ok. My wife liked her sandwich too. The place is nothing fancy, but the food is certainly good enough, and the prices are reasonable.More

Because of Covid-19 we tried their carry-out. So glad we did. We called our order in advance. The young lady was very pleasant and patient with us and our order. Our order was ready (10 minutes) when we arrived, and payment was taken expeditiously. We...had the appetizer ribs, Old Bay wings, baked beans, potato salad and BLT. All were delicious!!! The ribs and the BLT were probably one of the best we've ever experienced. The ribs fell off the bone and the flavor was wonderful. The bacon on the BLT was plentiful and very favorable.More

I've seen the ads and I plan to try the breakfast next time I'm in town. I haven't eaten a single thing there that wasn't excellent, so I have high hopes.

No need. Just walk right in. I have never gone on a Fri or Sat night, so I don't know how crowded it gets then. I go on weeknights and have been seated immediately.
