Pricey for just average food as take-out service paying $80 for one fries basket, 4 sandwiches and 4 bottled drinks. We had two pulled pork, one pulled chicken and a Pittsburgher. Overall, we've had better for less. The meat was tender, fries basket average size but the meat really missed the spot as you couldn't taste the smokey flavor from barbequing.

We ate dinner here after a day on the lake. As of July, seating was all outside in front of the restaurant. We ordered from the window and the food was brought out just a few minutes after. We all enjoyed our various meat plates and sandwiches. The gravy that goes with the fries is delicious. The cheese for the cheese fries is similar to nacho cheese you’d get from a movie theater, so I’d stick with the gravy and skip the cheese fries. There are two portable restrooms at the side of the building that provided hand washing as well.

My husband and I ate here for lunch and it was incredible!! Some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had and the employees were so kind. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my husband had a sampler platter- he loved the ribs the most. Awesome place!

We heard about Archie's Barbecue from multiple friends who go to Deep Creek often, so we stopped by for lunch. It lived up to the reputation. The food was delicious. I got the "PIggy Platter," which had 2 meats. I chose the ribs and brisket. The ribs were tender & very tasty. The brisket was very good, too. The barbecue sauce is fantastic! Others in our group got the pulled pork sandwiches, and they really liked those, too. The fries were just okay, but the mac & cheese was very good. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. I would definitely go back!

Archie's has a nice a nice atmosphere and their food is generally OK but not great and their prices are pretty high. But they have a somewhat captive audience in this tourist trap town (example a lb of meat is $18 regardless whether it is chicken, pulled pork or brisket; 12 piece of corn bread $20; $9 for a lb of Mac and Cheese). I like brisket but theirs's does not even come close to my favorite BBQ place which is in Corpus Christi, TX.

We went there for lunch while on vacation. I had the sliced brisket plate and my husband had the chopped brisket plate. You get no sides with that other than a very small square of cold cornbread. I went ahead and ordered some beans and those were warm and the best part of my meal. My brisket was also cold. My husband got chopped brisket. My plate for brisket and cornbread was like $15.95. we ordered the onion petals as an appetizer and we didn't eat them. Not near as good as an Onion Blossom or Onion Strings that we have purchased at numerous Steak Houses and a lot more expensive! They charged as like $15 although I thought on the menu it would be a $9 item. I asked for Ranch with it instead of the sauce that comes with it and they charge me extra for that and no place has ever charged me for asking for ranch dressing with their onion. Save your money for something better

On the way into the Deep Creek Lake area on 219 visitors would do well to pick up pulled pork, beef, ribs, etc. All a real treat. Take it from a resident who moved here from the same area "downstate". These folks know what they are doing.

Barbecue with authentic porker décor and all. Server met us at the door with menu in hand directing us to sit at the likewise authentic barbecue looking table of our choice. If you can’t tell from my description the restaurant was decorated in an entertaining style only a real barbecue place could pull off. Table service was prompt with ample portions of our choice of dishes as a matter of fact we took some to go. The barbecue was tender and favorable the sides plentiful. Drinks were self-serve and refillable. Clean up at their insistence was left to them. Fifty dollars for lunch for two was a bit more than I expected but Archie's is the real deal in a vacation town that tries to pull off authentic but fails at every other attempt. Every town needs an Archie's for at least one meal. Come hungry and leave satisfied.

This was the Best Dinner of our week. The food was great. I thought it was awesome that you could order a "family" meal or individual platters. Ordering was super easy and pick up was easy as well. We will definitely order again, when we are back in the area!

Got the Archie Dog. Never thought about putting pulled pork on a 1/4 lb beef dog, but it was amazing! Inside closed at the moment but outside seating and drive though available. Will be back next time I'm in the area

Don’t bother getting the salad. It’s just lettuce and meat. The meat was bland and nothing like the brisket salads I’m used to getting at my local BBQ place. The wings were delicious but they were over priced. I should of just got the pulled pork and saved some money.

Usually when we go out to dinner and pulled pork is on the menu I get that. I did just that at Archies and I must say it was the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had, just melted in your mouth, no fat in it, and the sauce which is their own was excellent also. We also got fries and cole slaw, which is made there also. If you are in the area you have to make Archies a stop.

BBQ family pack that feeds 10 people for 180.00 was not enough to feed 6 adults. Food was good but had to wait 30 minutes for our pick up order that was placed a week in advance. Everyone was still hungry after so we brought out the left over pizza.

We had ordered carry out for a party of 12 and everything was perfect! Nothing was missing and everything tasted great. There are few time’s my family is silent but as soon as the food was served everyone dug right in. From pulled pork, to brisket, to pulled chicken and bbq beans everything was delicious!

My wife and I had lunch here as we were passing through Deep Creek Lake. My wife had ribs, I had a brisket sandwich and we shared cole slaw and baked beans. The cole slaw was good and we loved the beans. The beans had several meats in it including hot dog pieces and ground beef. It was delicious. My wife liked her ribs a lot. My brisket sandwich was a mixed bag. It was really loaded with a lot of brisket but the meat seemed like it was processed. It reminded me of roast beef from Arby’s and didn’t seem authentic. Service was very friendly and helpful. Prices were higher than I expected. We paid $50 for the food and 2 soft drinks. We will likely return as we both liked the place a lot. I wouldn’t order the brisket again, however.
