YUM. We grabbed a quick meal at Tark’s recently. It was such a treat. Everything was delicious. Service was outstanding. We had the friend green tomatoes, the fried oysters, the shishito peppers, the roasted salmon and the tuna bowl. We are every last bite. But...still managed to have room for a slice of coconut cake. The servers managed to give us excellent service from behind their masks, out in the heat. We have eaten at Tark’s many, many times. This visit was especially memorable because everything was so tasty, and we appreciate it all the more in the age of a pandemic. Thanks for a night off from the ails of the world, Tark’s! That’s what a night out at dinner is meant to be.More

During COVID 19 time we don't expect anything super. It was good meal with long waiting time though.

Due to Covid 19 the last time we went here we had to sit on the patio, Actually it was a lovely evening and we enjoyed sitting outside. This location has had many different owners but the current group seems to know what they are...doing and consistently delivers a good meal with very good service. For starters I had their delicious crab soup and m wife had their cream of crab soup . I had the CHILEAN SEABASS which was terrific and my wife had the Quinoa Bowl with grilled chicken, spinach, quinoa, peaches, tomatoes, mozzarella, macadamias, apricot vinaigrette. Perfect to eat on a warm night. Although the deserts looked good we are watching what we eat and did not indulge. I look forward to our return visit.More

So this was a tough review. The atmosphere was great. The food was good. The service was fair. And the prices were steep. Better rating would be 3.5 stars. Let's begin with the atmosphere. The location of the restaurant is interesting in that it resides...in the courtyard of a building that was converted into an indoor mall. So when you first walk into the restaurant, you see a homey but somewhat sophisticated environment. It was a great first impression. I sat down and began to review the menu. I was surprised at the high prices, especially given the area. For example, a salad with a protein was over $20 (which actually swayed me from ordering one of them). I went for the Turkey Club. It was well prepared and ample ... and it was served with a side of fries. No complaints about the food. The service, however, was a bit slow and inattentive. Given the price I was paying for the meal and the level of sophistication you were expecting from the ambiance, it was disappointing that the wait staff was not on top of things. Specifically, my drink glass was empty for several minutes ... and I then needed to engage a waiter to fill it. Not good. I am willing to try this place again, but the experience better match the price tag or I will not return. BTW, I think the management needs to also reevaluate their pricing for salads.More

Dropped in about 8 pm to see if there was an opening and we were seated right away. Strange table location but the waitperson Drew was very good and made sure our drinks and food were perfectly paced. My bride had the Bronzini and I...had Sea Bass. Both perfectly prepared. The renovated atmosphere was inviting. I would go back and recommend for you to try it.More

We were in the area for our anniversary and went to Tark's which we have loved the past. We stopped by a few nights on our trip to the area. My husband and I ate dinner at the bar the first evening. The filet mignon...I ordered was on point and delicious. My husband had the seafood rosotto. Absolutely fabulous! Great bartender(Greg) on a Sunday evening. Drinks/wine wonderful. The 2nd stop there was okay. Drinks were great. Beer and wine selections good. Love my Guinness and a good glad of wine. The appetizers are no longer on special during Happy Hour. The chicken wings were disappointing. Jumbo shrimp cocktail very good. Will try again on future stops but will stick with dinner entrees.More

The food was good (focaccia, Maryland crab soup, parmesan fries), some things even delicious, like the buttery lobster roll stuffed with the succulent shellfish. The roasted cauliflower was obviously warmed in a microwave but we enjoyed the ginger miso aioli (could have been a bit...more for mopping up the flowerets), though the togarashi panko could not be found. Unfortunately, our friendly waiter knew nothing about the wine I ordered. He claimed that the Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling was French, even though "Washington State" was written next to it. And that it was dry, wrong again. It was demi-sec, not to my liking. Tark, make sure your employees know what they're serving.More

We came here for lunch and thought the place was lovely. Their outdoor patio looks great but it was too cold to eat out there. The inside has been newly renovated and it is very nicely decorated. The wait staff is very friendly as well....The menu has a nice selection, although it is definitely on the pricey side for lunch. However, the food was delicious! They did a little different take on the usual french dip roast beef sandwich and it was delicious. I had truffle fries with it and they were good as well. If you are willing to spend a little extra for lunch then you will not be disappointed. The fact that the place was packed shows the food is excellent.More

This was the first time we had been to tarks since the new ownership. One of the qualities we used to like of yesteryear (when we lived more local) was the fact we could get 2 fillets and a couple glasses of wine for less...than $70 after tip. Making it very affordable for a random weekday night out. Granted that was 8 years ago, that same order would be pushing it these days. Our meal consisted of arugula salad, a bowl of crab soup, rack of lamb, scallop meal, and a dessert (bread pudding). I chose this restaurant out of a couple others based on the rack of lamb entree I saw on their menu online. What I’ll say about it is...It’s not the cheapest in town via comparable restaurants but it’s not the most expensive either. I would suggest, is it’s probably the biggest in terms of serving size making it 100% worth every dollar. I would recommend every plate noted above, and would contest the poor reviews about service and food quality. My only complaint was the Manhattan we had at the bar prior to being seated was $16. I saw the price on the menu was for Woodford Reserve and ordered makers instead, thinking we’d get it down a couple bucks.. nope! Just beware of the mixed drink markup, but defiantly give this place a try. I was glad we decided to visit one of our old favorites, for a night out! Also a side note, it didn’t make a difference to me but they are undergoing some renovations and upkeep so the ambiance in the short term may be a little off.More

Absolutely the best. Seated right at our reservation time. The place was quiet enough to have a conversation without yelling. There was only one table empty. Great calimari, crab soup crab cakes and the blonde for dessert was the beat. And it was quiet. conversationwihavinghav
