Best restaurant in La Plata five far!!!!

A friend of mine has wanted me to go to this restaurant and I kept saying no. She finally got me there yesterday after we went to the Charles restaurant for drinks. Wow am I upset. I’m leaving town in two weeks and this is the best restaurant I’ve eaten at probably in 100 mile radius. I was scared to try it for some reason thinking I wouldn’t like it. Going back today to get more food. Drinks were twice as good as the ones we had at previous place. Try their mango margarita. We started out with the cauliflower appetizer which was so delicious. Then my friend got a chicken dish and I got a shrimp dish and we got some of the delicious bread they serve. A huge order of fluffy rice came with the food and we had way more than we needed and took some home. The staff was extremely friendly kept coming over to the table talking to us. This is one well-kept secret please give it a try even if you don’t think you’ll like it and I think you’ll agree it’s the best restaurant around. La Plata Has needed a good restaurant for years.

Great food and great service.

Great food and great service. We were driving home from the outer banks and took 301 instead of 95 and saw this restaurant on google maps right off the road. We got chicken tikka masala and garlic naan and it was fantastic. And in La Plata!

Best Curries Eaten Worldwide

Making it a point to try Indian food in every place I go to, I can say without a doubt Raj and his cooks make the best curries I’ve ever eaten. I have never eaten a bad meal here . Try it all. I recommend the Kashmiri spicy with a garlic naan bread .

Road trip Fathers Day dinner

After a long drive we settled into our motel on Fathers Day and then saw that a restaurant that had been recommended to us was in LaPlata. Delicious cocktails, excellent recommendations from the waiter for the mains, we were so happy that we made the choice we did. Even had a carrot dessert! Staff was friendly even after having a slammed day. Bollywood Masala will always be a choice as we drive north from Florida.

Great food and service. You must try this place

I had the chicken makhani and the chicken tika masala. Both were excellent. The spices were perfect. I also had the garlic butter Naan and lemonade. Service was very good and the staff is super friendly. Give this restaurant a try if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed.

I am a regular at Bollywood. This is my families' typically go-to spot for Indian cuisine; however these last two interactions have really put a bad taste in my mouth. There is a younger Indian gentleman (~mid-thirties) who serves and also works in the bar area who is extremely rude. I came in about a month ago with my girlfriend for dinner and the infused drink I ordered was not to my liking. I told my server (an older gentleman who is always pleasant) and he removed the drink from the table. The rude younger Indian guy brings the drink back to my table saying that he's going to add ginger beer to it for me to like it. I tell him that I do not think I would like that and would like to see the drink menu again so I can order another drink. He tells me that I must pay for the drink because he made it. I explained that I would not be paying for a drink that I did not drink, but I do not mind paying for a different drink that was more palatable. With some banter and persistence, he eventually removed the modified drink from our table and took it off my check. I thought this was a one off, but it sealed the deal last week when my husband ordered our usual order (3 chicken Kashmiri's, 2-garlic naan's, and a peshwari naan). When he arrived to pick up the to-go order the peshwari naan was not there. He brought that to the attention of the person taking the payment (same rude guy from my previous visit). This guy goes back and forth with my husband stating that he ordered kashmiri naan instead and because the kitchen made the order he must pay for it. He went on to say that, if he wanted the peshwari naan he could order it, but would need to pay for both naan's. This order was $85, so to argue with my husband about an item that cost $10 is not good customer service. Had I been picking up the order on principle alone I would have canceled the entire order and left with nothing. I previously worked in food service and I truly do appreciate good customer service. I will not frequent an establishment that does not take my experience as the customer into consideration. As I stated before, we order from this restaurant ALL the time and our order is never less than $75, we have shared this restaurant with friends and even for family gatherings so I was extremely disappointed to hear that, this had happened. In our early days of coming here we met the owner and he seemed like a really nice guy, so as a fellow business owner myself I wanted to to share these concerns to make the owner aware of how customers are being treated and why this loyal customer will no longer be visiting. If this staff goes on unchecked, I am sure I will not be the only customer lost. I am disappointed with this horrible customer service and complete disregard for what seemed like an honest mistake. The food is typically good, but this visit something was off with the chicken as well (very tough). I really hope that management takes head to this review and looks into who they have hired to represent the establishment.

Appetizers (samosa, naan, etc.) were tasty. Paneer in the sauce was tough (old?) and chicken was dried out. If we had been in the restaurant, I would have sent it back. Disappointed.

Bollywood's Spotlight Is on the Food, Not the Stars

The lunch buffet at Bollywood Masala offers an excellent selection of perfectly prepared Indian favorites, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Labels for each dish help educate diners to vocabulary as well as components. The okra was cooked to softness without losing its texture or being drowned in tomato. The potatoes wore lightly seasoned, crisp coats over their inner fluffiness. The spinach sag hosted a generous sampling of goat cheese. The chicken tandoori and chicken masala were tender and distinctive. The chai caressed the mouth with a subtle creaminess enhancing the spices. General Indian décor provides the main theme of the dining room, accented with Bollywood movie posters. We look forward to going again.

Went at lunchtime with my daughter and got the buffet,the staff is very attentive and the buffet nice selection with sauces and desert and don’t forget the (non) there version of bread excellent light and delicious

Ordered off the menu, I had chicken tikki masala, the sauce was excellent. My sister had a shrimp meal suggested by the owner she thought it was great. We had a indo-chinese appetizer comprising of caulifower that was good. They served basmati rice with the entrees that was good quality. we also had garlic naan that was very good.

i don't know which was more memorable - the fantastic food or the impeccable service! the owner visited us several times during our visit, initially guiding us through our food and drink selections since we were first-timers to the restaurant, and most in our party had never even eaten Indian cuisine. they thus did their utmost to ensure everyone's dishes were carefully selected/customized in accordance with the diner's tastes. beyond that, though, we were just made to feel very welcomed by all the staff - kudos to all for an unforgettable dining experience!
