A spontaneous road trip led us here... A fantastic Oktoberfest find! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable; food and brews outstanding! Going down to the general store next... Perfect rainy afternoon!

the ales and beers are terrific, of which there is an extensive selection. The Stonehenge brown ale is tasty. The food is fresh and delicious. Onion rings are my favorite.
Although Franklin's Restaurant is only a hop, skip and a jump from us, We had been living in this area for 25 years before I first experienced this fine establishment. My family decided to treat me for Father's Day last year (2015) and chose Franklin's. ( I think everyone else had already tried it before). The atmosphere is great. They... More
I can walk to Franklins from my house, but I've dined at this restaurant for over 10 years. Their twisted turtle pale ale is amazing, and pairs perfectly with the "Thai pie" entree. There's a bar upstairs with at least six tvs for football and basketball season, and they also have an attached general store with awesome gifts and a... More
Much of the food is locally sourced and there is a big beer menu. Hamburger was pricey, but one of the best I have had. Aunt Debs baked beans were delicious - loaded with meat and several kinds of beans. Visit the store...lots of fun items and great candies, old fashioned kinds and good chocolates, for dessert. Wait staff seemed... More
I came to Franklin's Brewery and Restaurant when it first opened. It was one of the first to anchor the revitalization of Historic Hyattsville. The area is now overrun due to the gentrification launched by millenial homeowners who have come from states other than DC, MD, and VA. At any rate, Franklin's is in a historic building from the 1880's... More
Was skeptical but pleasantly surprised. Good food great beer. Lamb Sausage Sliders were awesome and a Greek salad made a good dinner. The Balsamic was a little strong in the salad dressing and obviously is was not a traditional Greek, but non the less good. Service was attentive and pleasent. Beer is excellent allot of creative flavors that don't suck.... More
It's good solid pub food and great beer. I always get the Greek salad which is carefully prepared and has fabulous tomatoes soaked in balsamic. Service is good but sometimes the noise level can be deafening. Today was a quiet day with great and efficient service. That's almost always the case. A local treasure in a food desert.
I'm a big burgers & wings guy... so I was excited when we found this place on TripAdvisor. All in all, the meal was pretty good... but I was a little let down. When I see a place ranked number 1 on TripAdvisor, my expectations naturally go up... sadly that led to a bit of a let down. My burger... More
