Cool large restaurant, bookstore and performance spot in vibrant downtown of Hyatsville. We enjoyed blackened salmon and steak salad. Both cooked to perfection.

OMG. The coconut tofu balls were like candy! The food here is amazing. We were happy to find many many vegetarian options.

I've come here many times but I think that was my last. After seeing that I have two dogs (as I waited outside as my daughter went in to get an outside table for us) the wait staff seated us - gave us menus and water and took our order for drinks and even brought them to us. Then 20... More

We really like this group of restaurants and the statement they make. However, on a Sunday we asked the bartender to turn it to a football game, and they said they don't show sports. The tv was on Al-Jazeerah. That sucked. So we had a few drinks--Tito's and soda. They were almost $9!!! The place is pretty pricey for Hyattsville.... More

Food is great here. They have a nice variety for vegans. There's something for everyone (carnivores, vegetarians, vegans). Waitress was friendly and attentive. Quick service. They stay open late. The drinks are not watered down. I thought they did poetry readings/ performances here. So I was a little disappointed when that didn't happen. At least, have a live band. Also,... More

The concept of a community celebrating diversity and poetry in a restaurant with arts and bookstore inside is sooo cool. The decor is industrial and minimal but comfortable. The menu is quite varied and grilled food is popular. There's a lovely patio with outdoor seating. We went for Sunday brunch and it was quite busy. We were able to find... More

A colleague brought be here on the recommendation that the Shrimp and Grits were excellent. I have previously had a rather negative opinion of grits, and she was keen to demonstrate how they could be used! We started with the inferno wings, which whilst not "inferno" in terms of heat, they were - for me - just the right amount... More

This location is convenient and has plenty of free parking in a nearby lot. The decor is eclectic and they offer a wonder selection of books for browsing or purchase. We were a large group of ~20 and were reasonably accommodated with seating and quick drink and food orders. Food was tasty and well prepared. I'd return when in the... More

First time trying Busboys and Poets...crab cake sandwich was more bread (The roll was huge) than crab cake....I mean the crab cake was tiny....service was inconsistent....probably won't return..On the positive side, plenty of free parking in the back of the building....
