I ordered the crabcake sandwich for lunch. It was excellent, without filler, and the bun and fries were unusually good, too. It was reasonable, considering the price of crab. There were white tablecloths on the tables and friendly and efficient servers. I will eat there again when I am in the area.

When we are in the area we like to eat here. I love the crabcakes and Maryland crab soup. My wife got the chicken parm, and it was really great. Very light breaking and more than she could eat. The prices are very reasonable and salads and sides are included.

On Wednesdays during the "R" months, it is time for oysters at the Bayou: on the half shell, oyster stew, fried oysters in a sandwich or as an entree and even prepared in a dish with shrimp. We opted for a half dozen large Chesapeake oysters on the half shell served with a tangy and delicious cocktail sauce. Next was... More

I took my aunt and uncle here for their 66th wedding anniversary last week. They were so nice to us - and because it is my aunt and uncle's favorite restaurant - we could not go anywhere else. The salads were good and everyone enjoyed their meal. Why not 5 stars? They had a huge party going on in their... More

Top notch restaurant with excellent food, great selections, and wonderful customer service. The tables are adorned with old-fashioned white cloth tablecloths and they actually have baskets of crackers on the table along with bringing rolls with your meal. You don't find this often any longer. Their cream of crab soup is absolutely and by far the best that I've ever... More

7 of us came to celebrate our great grandmothers birthday. We made reservations (good idea for a Friday evening) and were seated promptly. Our waitress didn't rush us and allowed us to take our time visiting, ordering and eating our meal. The cream of crab soup was "to die for" ($6.30) The vegetable crab soup ($5.30) was delicious as well.... More

We ended up waiting until late before we started looking for a restaurant. The Bayou was one on our list and they were open so we went over. There were 4 of us and we each enjoyed our dinner. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The service was prompt, friendly, and very knowledgeable.

Fast service, good food, but depending on the entree, a bit pricey for what you are getting. Mostly visited by seniors for either meal time. Frequent group parties and celebrations in a separate room with its own entrance. Great carry out !

Everyone was happy. Ambiance was great. Food was prepared as ordered. The wait staff was excellent. I had a stuffed salmon dish, one person had a burger, another a large salad with jumbo shrimp on top and the fourth had a fried shrimp dish. True to their almost 70 year heritage the seafood was excellent. The hamburger and salad was... More

Cozy old time restaurant for locals and new friends ... great food and drinks and a nice atmosphere .... great for lunch or dinner ... the fried oysters are terrific and the fried shrimp are like nowhere else ! And the homemade desserts/pies are to die for ! Enjoy a great dinner at a longtime favorite !
